Hello, I will be in Disney next Wed, probably in MK on Wed since it has extra hour night. In my local amusement park there is a ride called Pittsburgh Plunge and if you stand near the ride you get soaked That is how I survive 95 degree park days, we return to that spot frequently so I can actually cool off. You do not have to get on this ride for the water. I would think that a huge park like MK or Epcot in Florida has many spots to get drenched. Where are they??? Thank You, Mindy

At MK the only possibility for that is by Splash Mountain by the big plunge but I don't think there is a huge splash that sprays the crowd waiting there. In Epcot there are some water fountains in the sidewalk that shoot water out that little kids are usually playing in that is near Test Track and one of the Innoventions (can't remember whether its East or West). As far as MGM goes, there is no water ride there and I can't think of a place to get wet as you describe it.

At MGM Studios, The Little Mermaid show gives you "mist" a couple of times to make you think you are really underwater. Even more so down front. I feels good on a hot day.
You get somewhat of a mist from Fantasmic if you sit down front and the wind is blowing. Although, one time we went in February and could bearly see the show from the blowing mist and it was very cold. They used to have an announcer that said funny things. We were sitting in the Haddes section and he said it was called that because when you came in and saw the wet seats, you would say, "Hey des seats are wet." We later found out what he meant. Also, over in front of entrance of Backlot Tours, there's a hugh Coke bottle that sprays a mist. One more, on the Backlot Tour, sit on the left side of the tram you might get wet at Castastrophre(sp) Canyon.
I almost forgot about the fountains at Epcot that the kids play in. Water shoots up from the ground. I don't think there's any reason why an adult couldn't play(or stand) in them also. You would get really wet.

There were some things that sprayed or dripped water in the Honey I shrunk the kids playground at MGM. When our kids were smaller, they enjoyed a water play area by Ariel's grotto in the MK, but that may not be there anymore. My kids have spent time near the Pittsburgh plunge ride too. In downtown Disney there is also a water fountain to play in.

Also in MGM, across from the Backlot Tours is Mary Poppin's umbrella. If you pull on it, the people around you get rained on.

Now that you mention it, I guess it is the singing in the rain and not Mary Poppins. My bad, sorry.

I maybe mistaken, but isn't there a water cannon that shoots onto the crowd in front of Splash mountain possibly at an interval of about every third log that goes over the flume? That sidewalk always seems soaked when we passed it in may.

Another Pittsburgher here! Yes, you can get went standing by Splash Mountain. It seems to not be on if the weather is colder though. You wont get nearly as wet ( drenched ) as you get standing by the Pittsburgh Plunge, but you can get wet! My kids love to stand there and get sprayed. There is also a place at POP Century that has the interactive fountains that come out of the ground. there is a mister in Epcot that you walk by and it mists you.

Thanks everyone, it looks like mother nature might be supplying us with plenty of water --- hurricane then rain predicted. However, if it is hot and sunny, your tips will help get the grumps out of my family!

I thought there were some statues at AK that show water. I also thought at MK as well..

All of this disney planning for Thanksgiving, and waiting for AP rates, and Nov hours, etc has kept me glued to the computer. I just checked my weather bug and I had NO IDEA a hurricane was headed to Florida!!!

I think you are right! Now that you mention it.. I do remember misting things over in TOmorrowland. Are they still there?
