Where would you suggest for a sit down in MGM? It's Hubbie's and my 12th anniversary and want something really tasty. Thanks!

We just tried Mama Melrose's in September & really loved it. We'll be returning there again next week. We both really enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan - I hear they also have some great little wood-fired pizzas. :D

Another vote for Mama Melrose. We have eaten there once on each of our last 8 trips, and always enjoy it. It isnt exactly "special" if thats what you are looking for for your anniversary, but we always have a very good meal there.
From the reviews Ive heard, Brown Derby is "nicer" than MM if thats what you are looking for, but like I said, we cant tear ourselves away from MM to try it out. ;)

For actually in MGM and an anniversary I would go to Brown Derby.
Although I like Prime Time Cafe better.
But I would leave MGM and take the boat over to Boardwalk and eat at Flying Fish if it were my anniversary dinner. :flower1:

I'd have to say Brown Derby all the way. Make sure you save room for the delicious grapefruit cake.

Mamas is great but I agree with the not so special note. Something fun and intimate at the same time would be the Sci Fi Dine In. The 2 of you could sit together in a car-booth and watch the drive in move screen under the stars. I have the say that they serve the best grilled chicken caesar salad I have ever had.

I was very impressed with the service and quality of food when we ate there on Fantasmic package in December. By the way, Fantasmic package is good way to go and may help make it a little more special.

Another vote for the Brown Derby. DH and I ate there on our honeymoon and got a special (free) dessert. Mention that it's an anniversary dinner when you make the PS.

Another vote for the Brown Derby!! Save room for the grapefruit cake!!YUMMY!!

My advice is to check out the menus of Mama Melrose's and the Hollywood Brown Derby and see which one you like best. We like the Italian at Mama Melrose's and have had several enjoyable experiences using the Fantasmic Dinner Package. I really don't particulary like the menu at the Brown Derby, plus it is a tad more expensive. I have to agree, though, that these are by far the best restaurants at MGM. I don't think you could do wrong with either one.

And yet another Brown Derby vote for something special, compared to the others in MGM. Just a warning that it can be a little noisy especially down on the floor in the middle, but so will anything else in MGM. Still the service and food are a cut above IMHO.
