Hello, this is my first post to this board, and I know somebody out there can help me.

My Family is arriving a day early before we board the Disney Cruise and we have arranged to do the Scuba dive in the living sea aquarium. Since we will be at WDW and then need to get the family over to Epcot to watch mom and dad dive, I think we will need park hopper tickets.

I have not seen them available on any other websites, they seem to all be multiple day tickets.

Any ideas? thanks

Are you going to another park on that day? I'm pretty sure 1 day passes are for one park only. But multiday passes never expire, so if you really want a park hopper, and plan to return to Disney World at some point, you could do that. Otherwise, you;d have to stay at Epcot all day, or buy 2 park passes.

Welcome to the DIS and have a great trip!

Our plan is to start the day at WDW, then go over to Epcot in the late afternoon for our dive appt. at 4:30. Since the adults are paying for the dive, we don't need Epcot tickets (but we go no further than the aquarium), but if the kids want to see us from the dry side of the glass they will have to get tickets to Epcot, hence the 1 day park hopper need.

My sister got some from an ABC employee friend, so methinks maybe they are just out there among employees or for Disney to issue to complaining guests.

When you say WDW, do you mean the Magic Kingdom? Epcot is one of four major parks at WDW. So are you starting out a one of the other four major parks and then going over to Epcot?

"One day park hoppers" are sometimes given out or sold for special occasions or promotions or timeshare sales pitches but are not standard everyday tickets sold at the gate.

You ahve to be careful because some promotional tickets expire if not used or used up within a particular time period. Standard tickets (other than annual passes or unlimited magic length of resort stay passes) do not expire.

If you really just want a 1 day park hopper you can shop on ebay. People list 1 day park hoppers all the time which end up left over day/days from their previous trip. They are definitely worth the purchase if that is what you want. I have bought a few on ebay because they end up being cheaper than 2 1 days put together. Hope this helps.

If you have a ONE NIGHT reservation at a WDW resort, you may be able to purchase a ONE DAY Ultimate Park Hopper.

We were offered this option once when I made a last minute reservation at Ft. Wilderness (meaning 7am the day we were to arrive). However, we purchased two-day UPHs.

.. please don't be tempted to buy 'used' tickets on ebay (alright, I know lots of people do, and have, etc, etc,).. it is almost impossible to be sure that there are any days left, and it is actually a breach of the terms of use.. they are not transferable and, should you be (1) lucky enough not to be ripped off by the seller, (and won't you look daft at the entrance if they tell you the ticket has no days left?)but (2) unlucky enough to be caught using someone else's ticket, you will be denied admission.

Sorry, when I wrote WDW I meant Magic Kingdom....

So what do you guys recommend I do?

I am assuming that you will have a one day ticket to MK?

I would purchase a 3 day hopper from Alamo. The number is 800-560-2397 I believe the tickets are 169.00 for the three day hopper + one option.
I would avoid purchasing on ebay cause, with all the questions people ask about finding out how many days they have left on their passes here, I have my doubts they know how many are left on the ones sold on ebay.

Your best bet is to look into the 1 day Ultimate Park Hopper pass that Carol recommended IF you are staying onsite. You can purchase this from your hotel IF you are staying for one night. The second option would be to call the 800 number that Gail gave. It's for the Disney Preferred Ticketing Office. They do tickets for conventions, etc. I'm not sure if the will sell a one-day hopper to the general public. You might try for a 2-day hopper though.

If you can't get a one day hopper, I wouldn't worry about it. Since you are only going to MK for one day, you will probably want to use all your time in that park. It will take a lot of time to go back and forth between the two parks.

They are doing the dive at LS that is why they want the hoppper.
The smallest UPH they sell is a 2 day one night, is that what you mean?

I would recommend the 3 day Park Hopper...If it's the first time that you're going to see WDW, you'll be back! haha And they never expire.

c15729,

You are right the 1 day hopper passes are employee passes. I looked into buying one, but Disney only sells 3 day hoppers.
