I'm considering taking DD16 to Disney in August. We'd like to go to a resort that has lots of teenagers so she can make friends to hang out with at the pool, etc. Of the following, where have you stayed with your teenagers?

Our teenage daughter really enjoyed our two stays at the Caribbean Beach Resort. She liked going down to the beach and just hanging out with the other kids or even by herself. The hammocks and beach chairs are perfect for just relaxing whether or not you are a teenager, adult or child.

She shopped in the store and found some really nice souveniers for her friends and for herself.

We rented the watermice and all of us had a great time.

Caribbean Beach Resort is a fantastic resort for teenagers.

We enjoyed our stay at the POFQ, my teens enjoyed the pool and the resort. Since the resort is so small it was easy for them to go the foodcourt and get to the bus stop without any fuss. They liked the boat to DTD as well.
We did not rent any of the boats there but actually went over to the GF to rent them as my mother and I were going there for the afternoon tea.

I've stayed at..
Swan, Dolphin, BWV, BCV, POR, POP, Music, CR, Polynesian. They all were enjoyed greatly by my teenager. Well, she was a bit younger than a teen at some of them, but not by much.

I've edited this post so you can tell we want to stay somewhere with lots of teens.

CSR!! More the her to do. Great pool, slide, and an arcade at the main pool.

We have stayed at the POR for the last 2 years, and my 2 teenage DS's love it there. We get a room by the quiet pool, and they always meet ALOT of kids that are their age. It makes it really fun for them to have more friends to play the games in the pool.

My son is 15 now and we have stayed at almost all WDW resorts, he has always made friends and had lots of fun with them.:grouphug:

I'm nineteen (so still a teen), so maybe i can help you out a bit. My family has been more times than I can count, and we've stayed just about everywhere. I don't know how your family likes to do WDW, but our family of four (with my brother being 15 pirate: this year) has never really stayed at the hotels too much during the day.

We stayed at CSR two seperate years because we booked last minute. It's nice with the neat pool and all, but I can honestly say I can't remember enough about it to tell you too much so that might tell you about teens at CSR.

We have stayed at WL. It's gorgeous. This is a pretty ok one to take a teen. The pool is amazing and they have the lake with the jet boats etc (the ride to the parks isnt too long either). I made quite a few friends at the pool side and so did my brother 3 years ago. This is a good Christmas resort (depending on when you go.)

:cheer2: Our number one place(s) to stay are the All Star resorts:banana: . (Yes some people may say Ick! Value resort). With the value, ya'll can do many more things with the saved money. We have always loved the AS especially sports. Theres two pools that ALWAYS have a ton of people. Theres a basketball court that peopl are always on, and even though its not a true football feild, the younger generation still gets games of football going. There is an arcade in the main lobby that always has people in it, and the gift shop is great too. Plus is really close to all the parks (and with sports you get picked up first and dropped off first)

Hope this might help even though its kinda long.

I think there are as many teens at one resort as there are at another.

I know that when my boys were young teens, they liked the Contemporary the best...but that's probably a matter of them being doofuses. In fact, were they to go now, they'd probably still like the Contemporary - but they don't care for WDW much any longer.

DD likes AKL best, bless her heart.

CSR all the way! Great pool, slide, food (poolside too), an arcade at the main pool and a sand volleyball court by the pool. No shared transportation like at POR/POFQ. The convention guests help keep the pool and buses less crowded.

With our teens we've stayed at POP, POR, POFQ, CSR and AKL. The one with the most teens was POR, which also turned out to be their favorite moderate resort. They liked the atmosphere of CSR, but there were many more business people staying there than kids of any age.

Our vote is CSR too. :goodvibes

Reasons:
More selections in the food court.
Great pool and quiet pools too.
The rooms can fit a twin aerobed.
There is a refigerator in the moderates and a curtain by the bathroom for changing privacy.
Less people on the buses (no convention people till around 4 pm - mostly to DTD)

Dolphin is great too - if you can get a discount (it's not Disney- belongs to Starwood)

We stayed with our two teen DDs in September 06 at Pop and they loved it. The themeing that they THOUGHT would be tacky really appealed to them. They loved walking around to all the different buildings and reading all the signage. There were plenty of other teens there as well.
