Where have you been stuck?

The thread about being stuck on Pirates got me wondering about other folks' experiences getting stuck on rides at WDW. Best/worst experiences of being stuck?

Most recently, we were stuck on the Peoplemover in the dark at the Space Mountain portion. It was only about 5 minutes, but it freaked my kids out!

Like everyone else, Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain. Seems like those stop pretty regularly. I actually kind of like the chance to really take in the scenes where we are stopped, so I keep my fingers crossed for good spots.

The most fun pause wasn't Disney - it was Forbidden Journey in Universal. My vehicle stopped several times, affording me time to really examine some of the scenes, and then they pulled our car aside to go through again.

Got stuck on Test Track. It was dark and not much to look at. Like being trapped in a warehouse. Not fun but there were CS's walking around reassuring us that everything was OK.

Ha! Just saw that there's another thread from today on this same topic. Great minds?

We actually love being stuck. Our fav : Small World and Splash Mountain. DS didn't care for being stuck on Peter Pan, we were right over London and it freaked him out. Got stuck on Buzz Light year as well as Toy Story Mania.

Our friends were unlucky enough to be stuck on the Safari for 30+mins. There was an incident with a rhino and the zoo keepers had to come out.

I've been stuck on the usual rides like pirates, haunted mansion, and small world. The time at small world the rumor was that a lady dropped her pearl necklace in the water. Not really sure how true that was though.

The worst place I've been stuck is going backwards on spaceship earth. This has happened to me a couple times and it gets very uncomfortable pretty quickly.

I wish I could get stuck at the end of figment :).

My first trip ever I was stuck on HM at the dining room scene for probably 5-10 minutes. Pretty great place to be stuck with all the detail and effects. Been on it way too many times to count since and it seems like I miss everything.

Got "stuck" on the original Star Tours on our last ride. Just stopped mid-ride. When they finally got restarted everyone on the ride was really over the top invested in it. Pretty cool experience.

Was stuck on spaceship earth going backwards once, that was much more unpleasant. Nothing to see but triangles and being at a weird angle.

Only two attractions, both at Disneyland, where I had to be evacuated from the attraction...Pinocchio's Daring journey and the Indiana Jones Adventure. At WDW the attractions have stopped momentarily plenty of times, but only for a minute or two.

Spaceship Earth for us, too, also going backwards and feeling like we were going to fall out of the car. It wasn't too long, thank goodness.

We were also briefly stopped a few times on the Little Mermaid ride.

Not Disney, and not me personally (so why are you posting this, nilla?), but we saw the Superman coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure get stuck going up the first hill.

For those of you not familiar with that ride, it's a suspended coaster where you are leaned forward to simulate flying like Superman, meaning riders were stuck on their bellies, looking straight down, held in by nothing but the harnesses.

I LOVE rides, and don't really mind heights when I'm on rides, but that would probably freak me out!

The only attraction that I had to be walked off of was TSM. Of course, this was the first time we rode so my special needs sister would not go back on this attraction the entire trip. Actually, I have not been able to get her back on since.

Other than that, I do not think I have been stuck anywhere, or what I consider stuck. I have had about 5 minutes here or there where the attraction did not move, usually due to loading or unloading, but I do not consider that stuck. I think it would have to be about 20 minutes before I considered the attraction stuck.

On our honeymoon 20 years ago we were stuck on the Skyway (not sure if that was the name) ride. It was August and so hot. We were stuck for about 10 minutes.

Recently we were briefly stuck on Splash Mountain going up the final hill. I sat there wondering how I would climb out if we had to evacuate!

On our last trip in 2013 we got stuck on Splash Mountain right underneath the vulchers before you go up the hill for about 15 minutes. It was my step-son's first ride on Splash Mountain and it took a LOT of convincing for him to ride it. He still remembers "those birds" and we will be lucky to get him on it again in a couple months.

We've been stuck on Haunted Mansion for 20 minutes before. We got stuck in the scence with the coffin and all the doors that are knocking and stretching. It was very annoying! Then two years ago we got stuck on Pirates for about 30 minutes right before you go under the bridge where the guy's leg is hanging down. I wasn't feeling very YO-HO after that.:faint: And we get stuck on Splash all the time.
