Where exactly are the BWV studio preferred views?

Just trying to get an idea. Are they all along the Boardwalk or are some facing the pool areas also? What are the chances of getting a studio over the Boardwalk? Thanks

The studio you want is boardwalk view, and it's a guaranteed view. You will know when you make ressies whether or not you got it. Other preferred views are pool view, canal view(Swan/Dolphin), and the Village Green view. Standard view is at the front of the hotel, and over the air conditioners(not worth the point savings--it's noisy!). The BW view is a full view, and really wonderful! I always pay the extra points for BW view.

BW preferrred view
preferred view (non-BW)
standard view

standard view includes the parking lot and entry way.

preferred view (non-BW) - includes the pools and the lagoon view of the Swan and the view toward Studios.

BW preferred view - must be over the BW.

A studio overlooking the Boardwalk is a view you can reserve and then be sure of getting. There's a "Preferred view", which overlooks the canal, pool, gardens; also there's a "Boardwalk view", which specifically overlooks the Boardwalk. They're the same # of points. BWV is the only DVC resort (at least that I can think of offhand) that allows reserving a specific view within the resort. And of course, there's the standard view, fewer points.

Many of the BWV preferred views that overlook the canal (have a slight view of TOT when standing out on the balcony) also have a very large view of the valet parking lot (not quite so lovely). I'd request "pool view" if I couldn't get a BW guarantee view.
