I was just wondering where the boat leaves you off at epcot and hollywood studios. It's funny, I don't remember seeing any water near hollywood studios, just parking lot? Thanks for any help

When you leave the Dolphin heading to HS the boat drops you off to the right of the entrance of HS, you can see Tower of Terror.

At Epcot the drop off is by the International Gateway.

You can also walk from the Dolphin to both the International Gateway and HS. HS is about a good 15 - 20 minute walk, but a really nice peaceful walk.

Epcot is about 10 minutes from the Dolphin . . .

You really will wonder why you didn't see it before once you get dropped off at HS. ;) I did (miss it I mean  ). I hadn't seen it before but we took it from the studios to the Dolphin on Monday and the second we walked out of the front gate we saw it there off to the left. Impossible to miss, yet, we had...for years. ;) And at Epcot unless you needed to go back there between England and France, you wouldn't have seen it either. But you'll know now. :goodvibes

Only a Robo map will do...

Thanks for the map, very helpful. Guess I wasn't the only one who missed the body of water near HS.

The Friendship boats travel as follows: (see red dots for boat docks)
  • Epcot International Gateway
  • Boardwalk
  • Yacht (and Beach) Club
  • Swan/Dolphin
  • Disney's Hollywood Studios

From DHS, the route is reversed on the return to Epcot.

Here's one of the excellent maps created by Robo:

OH and OP? Since you're staying there (yes?) if you can swing it and like MEAT ;), try Shulas! That's why we went there on Monday as a 20th Ann. celebration dinner and that meat was to DIE for! Seriously! I'm picky on my steak. So, if you are there...wander down. :thumbsup2 Your wallet won't thank you but your stomach will....IF you like to be "Thanksgiving full" that is. The chocolate souffle wasn't to shabby either. ;)

For help for your wallet... you can often get Shula's certificates on restaurant.com

Yeah, I tried before I left based on someone's tip here (maybe yours ;) ) but for some reason, either there wasn't one or SOMETHING kept me from doing it. I can't recall but boy howdy, would have liked one!

Dumb question - is that Epcot entrance open even when only the other half of Epcot has opened yet? If I want to be at rope drop, can I use that entrance?

Not a dumb question...

Yes it is open for "rope drop." Although there is no rope drop anymore. Get there at 8:30-8:40, you will most likely be let in by 8:45. It's pretty neat to walk through a closed empty World Showcase to get to Future World.
