Where does MSEP begin? Best viewing locations?

Does the MSEP typically begin on Main Street and end in Frontierland, or vice-versa?

What are some good viewing locations for the parade without a FP+ and other than the obvious (Main Street )?

It begins on Main Street. We've rarely had a problem getting a good place to view the parade in Frontierland, even very close to parade time. There always seems to be space very close to the rope, and there are platforms and low walls to sit on. It's generally much less crowded there than on Main Street.

Starts on Main Street, ends in Frontierland.

When I went in February - this was during a lower crowd time, and it had been raining, which delayed the parade a bit - I had a good spot at the "far end" of Liberty Square, just before you cross into Frontierland. I don't remember what time I started staking out my spot, but I think the Liberty Square/Frontierland area is generally less crowded than Main Street.
