I keep seeing conflicting answers so maybe it changed? Car barn or Frontierland?

Where's the best place to view it in your opinion? I've seen it a few times with DH but this will be our daughter's first time and I know they'll love it.

Starts near Splash Mountain.

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents, or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears.

You are the best! thanks!

In my touring plan, I'm going to be in the general area around 3 -- I was currently scheduled to go into the Country Bears at 2:55. Should I just hang out there and watch a bit of the parade, or will the parade still be in the area by the time we get out?

Wondering how quickly it moves -- I haven't seen a daytime parade in over a decade. And without a nighttime parade, I feel like I should watch at least part of one, even if I don't want to commando camp out (because my bf will likely not be interested in the parade).

First off... What is the date you are discussing?
FoF now starts at 2PM.
FoF moves back to a 3PM start in January.
The run-time of the parade is about 14 minutes.

In general, I would not go into Country Bears at a time that would mean missing any of the FoF parade.
Country Bears runs continuous shows all day, but the parade is one time per day and is one of Disney's best.

I found it nice to catch it near the Splash Mountain Bridge. There is some height there, but it does get crowded. It's nice to be at the front end though since once the parade passes the crowds quickly disperse.

Should have clarified. I'm talking about March 6. I'll plan on lurking around CB for 15 minutes to see as much of the parade as I can convince my bf to stand there for. I've heard many people tell me it's fantastic, so I'm hoping to see it.

As always, thanks Robo.

Well, the last parade entry is a fire-breathing Steam Punk style about 20-foot tall mechanical dragon...
that even a "too cool for the room" guy would find impressive.

That was exactly my thought. :teeth:

Last November we got a great view of the parade at the bottom of the Main Street train station steps. Got there around 15 minutes early.

This is where we are wanting to watch in at the end of this month. We will probably be arriving around 1:30, so I hope it's not too full by then.

Be aware that FoF does not reach there until nearly a half-hour after it starts.

I've always wondered, and I'm sure someone here will know, at the time when the last float has left the starting point (at around 2:15) what is the location of the first float? Would it be half-way down Main Street? Also, when viewing from the starting point, what is the soonest you estimate that one could exit MK?

Never mind.

Not that I want to contradict Robo - but walking from splash mountain and managing to get out of the park by 2:25 seems a bit of wishful thinking for me.

Maybe Robo knows a different way out than me..If you stand to watch from Splash - you have 15 min watching time. Then you start attempting to walk towards Main Street where the parade is until closer to 2:40ish I think? You can't cross the streets - so I think your best escape route is thru fantasy land to tomorrow land to the 'escape to end of Main Street' assuming it's open and then out of the park (passing the parade again) near talking Mickey. (If you are watching from the side opposite splash and continue to walk/follow the parade - you have to beat the front float to the end of the emporium - or else you will be stuck waiting for the entire parade to enter back into the gates...sporty at best?)

I'm not sure that's for the faint of heart...

If BF needs to be convinced to watch parade he will exit park if you take him to country bears. Lol.

That made me laugh a lot. He'll probably exit the park on a few of the things I like to do - like Small World. But he won't be forced on anything. ;)
