Where does everyone buy their bedding?

I had the same problem when I was looking for a solid color quilt in green - ack! it took forever to find one. I finally found one at Boscovs.com. It's a department store near my MIL (we don't have them here in MA) but they will ship anywhere. I was very happy with the quality. Their stuff is about the same grade as you would find at Penney's.

I've also had luck with Pottery Barn for oldest DS' quilt.

I shop TJ Maxx/Homegoods & Marshalls for my sheets - they have the best quality stuff there, but I find it's hit or miss on the comforters, etc. I find it can be very hard to get matching accessory pieces such as shams or dust ruffles.

Thanks everyone! You have named some places that I didn't think of, and also some places that I have never heard of. I think I need to head out to a bigger town and try to track down some of the brick and mortar places that you have all mentioned. It's so hard to tell quality and even color looking at a computer screen. I did look online at places like Overstock.com, Macy's, Domestications, JC Penney, Amazon. Thought that I had one all picked out at Penney's until I read the reviews which said it wrinkled super easy and fell apart once washed.

Also a big problem is that 99% of the comforters are cut SO small that I would have to buy a king size set for my queen sized bed. Then if the set includes things like the dust ruffle and shams, those things are too big to fit the bed.

I don't want to have to change my drapes which are a pretty muted floral design which is why I am going for a solid color. I never thought about a duvet, but will check to see what is available there. A big thank you to everyone who posted their ideas. I knew that I could count on you all here!:cool1:

My favorite place to buy bedding is HomeGoods. I also find bedding at TJ Maxx once in awhile, but their selection is not as great or extensive. I don't buy bedding sets though, as I am just not into matchy matchy bedding. I rotate my bedding constantly, and like to mix and match what I have to get a different look.

I'm like that, too, I change things often. So duvets work great for me.

Purses and duvets, my biggest weaknesses

Tuesday Morning has nice bedding, I've found great deals on Peacock Alley sheets and duvets there

80% of our bed linens and almost 100% of our curtains & draperies have come from JC Penney. I've always had really good luck with the quality of the items and they have lasted for years.

We just bought a beautiful king size comforter set from JCPenney Outlet. It is a gorgeous seafoam blue color and includes 16 pieces. Best part was the price of only $45.
Good luck hunting for new bedding!!

D. Porthault. I wouldn't buy my bedding from any other place.

Gorgeous linens, but not exactly what I would consider budget board friendly. ;)

BTW, their greens really speak to me. I'd take home deauville, trefles, or fougeres in a heartbeat if they fit my budget.
Maybe someday. :thumbsup2
