Where does DME drop you off at MCO for your return flight?

I know I've seen this on here before, but I can't find it. Exactly where is the DME drop off point when they take you back to MCO? We are flying Southwest, so I'm trying to get an idea of how far and how much time we will need to walk to get back to the ticket counter area.

They drop off at both side A and side B. It won't be a very long walk at all to the ticket counter. Are you not able to take advantage of checking in for your flight at the resort?

When we took DME in both Dec and Jan, the bus stopped only on the B side. It was a huge pain since I needed to be on side A.
I'm not sure they're going to Side A anymore.

My last 3 trips - October, November and December 2015 DME only stopped on the B side. It wasn't an issue as we used RAC to check bags and had boarding passes in hand.

Most folks can get off on the "wrong" side and walk across (through the food court) to the ticket counters on the other side more quickly than waiting for the bus to go around to make the second stop.

What keeps some from getting off at the first stop as opposed to the correct stop is that the driver might not pull out their carryons at the wrong stop.

For those not needing to go to the ticket counters, walking to security is about the same distance from either the A side or the B side. Think: grandstand near 50 yard line over to a goal post in a football stadium.

On our trip last month, the DME driver made it VERY clear that there was only one stop for everyone.

Yep just like everyone else they only stopped on one side. Wasn't a big deal really once I figured out which way we needed to go across the food court.

When I was there in December, B side only. I had checked my luggage at the resort for Southwest so it wasn't a problem.

Just so there is no confusion....there is no 'wrong' side anymore...the DME bus will stop only on Side B! If you are flying out of Side A, you will have to go up to level 3 to get to your gate. Or the ticketing counters. Once on level 3, cross over to Side A.

Really? Ugh. Another check on the side for me spending the money on a town car service on the way back to MCO. I already have it booked for my October trip.

I'm just back on March 6th. Only one DME stop, B side.

We got a Mears bus whose Driver specifically said she wasn't affiliated with Disney in any way. A hint for tips I guess.

They said they would only do a side B drop-off even though SW was on side A. We had utilized Resort Airline Check-In for all our bags & so also already had the boarding passes (really love RAC), so going from B to A was no hassle for us as we never had to stop at check-in.

Carrying twin babies & six suitcases it would be a hassle (anything would), but it's really no big deal as DME drops you off with plenty of time to spare & MCO has a frequent monorail that runs between B and A. We were still well over an hour early for our flight when we got to the gate, & traveling with my elderly mother, we weren't fast.

If you want luxury, pay for a limo, but DME was comfortable, timely & more than adequate to meet our transportation needs.

There is no wrong stop - there is only one stop on the B side all bags will be unloaded at the same time.

DME does not always drop you with time to spare. The last time I used it between the extra long bus ride (we were on over an hour before even heading to the airport) and the long security line I was at my gate around 20 minutes before boarding started. And I move fast at the airport. That was cutting it too close for my comfort.

This is always my worry.. the line for security! It can be horrible depending on the time of day at MCO. We are glad we are flying SW this year, to use the resort check-in for our bags. I usually fly an airline that does not participate.

Well, they are contracted by Disney...so they are indeed affiliated with Disney! Disney states that tips are taken care of if you allow DME to take your tagged bags directly to your room. All bets are off if you choose to get your bags yourself and take them to the bus with you. If that's the case, then the driver will be expecting a tip for baggage handling.
But a tip just for driving the bus? Not necessary. Although, I have tipped a driver who made the ride really enjoyable...even though I had no stowed luggage! He got $5 that day. On the other hand, I've had a bag stowed, but didn't tip. I refuse to tip someone if they ask for a tip. There is signage above the windshield that states 'gratuities are gratefully accepted for extraordinary service'...so if a driver mentions a gratuity to the bus load of guests? No tip will be coming from me!!!
