I think DVC there is still possible, just delayed in the 5-10 year range.

The colored paint marks indicate buried utilities. Blue is water, green is storm or waste. Soft dig means that they have to dig by hand rather than backhoe to prevent hitting those pipes.
Not a big clue here, they just might be renewing the hardscaping. If they were going deep to excavate a new foundation, the pipes would probably be shut-down and torn out.
Based only on that tiny random photo completely out of context and without any other sort of info, it looks like an aggressive remodel.
I'll take that bet for any amount of value you care to set. IF CR happens it will absolutely be well below $150 per point.senecabeach said:IMHO with just a "gut" feeling....
Disney is taking thier time. There is NO way that a CR DVC, close to thier signature park, MK, would sell for anything below $150. per pt!
This is "primo" property/location and Disney knows it and will probably build (where?) or, most likely renovate a hotel at/near DL next.. to accomodate those on the west coast..![]()

We would certainly buy points at a lowrise CR unless there was a Polynesian DVC but really didn't like that high rise especially with the rooms on the quiet side facing others.
But wasn't the CR built with individual steel components like the Polynesian? If the info on zoning laws is accurate, that would reduce the ways to change it to DVC. Perhaps it would be all studios or Inn room like Vero?
And wouldn't adding two floors count as new construction?
I think they are. Rumors are that SSR is less than a year from selling out. I didn't think it would sell that fast and DVC does have a hx of overstating sell outs though. DVC has generally had at least 2 resorts selling over the years. Other than OKW initially and right now, there has not really been any other time where there were not at least 2 resorts on the table either in sales or announced. So if your asking if I think it's a problem trying to sell AKL and CRV at the same time, the answer is no.ralphd said:Dean,
Don't you think they will let SSR sell (or close to) out before they announce a new resort?

I doubt it will be that high. My best guess is $101, the current price with an increase about June or July and a sales date starting somewhere around Feb to April, 07. With opening in Fall of 2007 and a prelude needed on sales, the most they could squeeze in would be one price increase. They've already been discounting SSR to get it mostly sold prior, those last few points may be difficult for them to sell if they raise the price prior. I'll remind everyone that DVC announced VWL was sold out well prior to when it actually was. They assumed it would sell out with member add ons and shut down the push ons sales and actually formally announced it as sold out. Only to go back 6 months later and formally reopen sales to nonmembers.senecabeach said:![]()
