Where do you watch Fireworks at Poly

Happy Friday morning everyone,

I truly appreciate the advice given here and believe no question is a stupid question and it should be replied to with respect to the poster. This is the first time I've seen so much attitude on the board. I'm new to the board and would not want other newbies to feel that they cannot ask a question.

That being said; We have an ADR for 6:40p at Ohana. Will we see the the fireworks and what seating should we request at the podium?

Thanks so much!

Have a magical day and pixiedust for everyone.

So then my question remains, are you allowed to get drinks at the pool bar or no? Are you only allowed to get food at your own pool bar?

Yes you are allowed but the poolbar isn't open late enough to watch Wishes. Unfortunately the pool bar closes very early. Too early for Poly guest like me that want another Lava Flow! Edited to add that the only food at the poolbar are chips and pretzels.

O well thats too bad then. A nice beverage always goes well with fireworks. At least I'm DVC and can sit near the pool and enjoy the show.

You really are new if this is the first time you have seen so much attitude on the board. It really gets wild around here sometimes unfortunately.

I completely agree that it is possible to answer a question without being snotty, snide or rude. You can give the correct information without implying the original poster intended to do something wrong. People don't need to take their frustrations related to sensitive topics out on someone who is just looking for information.

WELCOME!!!

If you're not staying at the Poly, but are eating at 'OHannas would it be frowned upon to go out to the beach to see Wishes? We will be dining there 9/21 and hope to be able to see the fireworks while we're eating, but if we get through too quick we would like to watch them from the beach. We will be walking over to the TTC to catch a bus back to POP. Would we be able to see them as we walked on that particular pathway? I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with the layout at the Poly.

We were there in May. We were specifically told by a Poly CM that it is absolutely fine for people who have eaten at O'hana's to stroll down to the beach to view the fireworks.

You can get a drink in a "to go" cup from the inside bar and take it out. We've done that before! :drinking1

Not sure exactly what the sign on the beach says, but this fits with almost all of my experiences. Technically, if you are eating at the restaurant or are allowed in for other stated purposes you are considered a day guest. Does the sign on the beach say "registered guests"?

It is very easy on Internet message boards to read intent into a message that may not be there. For example, reading snottiness, rudeness, snideness or some other negative attitude in a message. Communication like this makes it difficult to know what the poster truly intended: one can't see their face or hear a tone of voice, inflection, attitude, etc. There's no gestures or body language to help interpret what is being "said."

Sometimes information could be written better, but it's not good to assume the worst about another poster. :flower3:
