Where do you store your laptop?

Last year we left it out and had no problems but this year we might keep it in the safe just because there will be way more people in our room/adjoining room and I don't want it to get knocked over or something spilled on it! I only take mine to dump photos onto though.

We stay DVC so we don't have Mousekeeping very often, but we have always just left it out on a table close to the Ethernet connection and have never had a problem doing this.:thumbsup2 We feel comfortable leaving a laptop in our room without being in a safe. :thumbsup2

we stayed at pop last year and ours was over 17in and it fit in the safe just fine. we had a laptop, leapster, rental keys, extra camera stuff, and a wallet in our safe.

I just left mine on the desk. You have to have a password to sign on and I can't imagine anybody would walk out with it. I never thought twice about it.

I left mine on the table........at my HOUSE! :rotfl:(sorry, had to say it!) I go on vacation to get away and UNPLUG from all that stuff. I understand some folks need it for certain stuff, but leaving it behind is the VERY reason I go to WDW. UNPLUG from the real world and plug into Walt Disney World.:cool1:

If you are nervous about it, buy a cable lock for it. They are not that expensive, and that is the last thing you want to worry about while trying to enjoy your vacation.

it's best to stay safe, so yes, i'd also buy a lock.

At POP the laptop actually fits in the locker. I store mine there when I stay at pop. Though usually I just put it in my suitcase and then its out of the way. . .never had an issue.

Where do you guys hide yours?
On the desk. Not locked to anything.

I spend several dozen nights in hotels each year, and have for the past 20+ years. I always just leave it out. It has yet to go walking away without me. Granted, I have full, frequent backups stored offsite, so I would not lose any data if the laptop was stolen or destroyed.

I have always just left it out on the table with the lid closed. Never have worried or given it a second thought.

I have a "travel laptop" - an older one that is good enough for email any basic tasks. All backed up so if it goes bad or astray there is no big deal. (We all keep our laptops and cameras backed up all the time, right?).

Any documents I might need I put as email attachments so I can get them quickly from any computer.

I have a 15" Macbook Pro and DH has a small Netbook we both travel with to dump pictures and video onto at the end of each day. Both fit into the safe at the same time.

We were easily able to fit my 15" laptop, hubby's iPad, my Nook, and some other smaller items in the safe at Pop Century. Very simple.

I don't hide it. I either put it back in my laptop backpack or just leave it on the table. I have never had it stolen and it is TrueCrypted so if they did they wouldn't get any data off of it.
