Where do you see Illuminations from the POP?

We leave for WDW in 4 days!!!!!!! We can not wait. We are staying at the POP for the first time. I have asked for the 70's building because it looks close to everything without the extra cost. Now I have read that you can see Illuminations from the POP. Where do I go to see this? Do I have to be in the upper floors for the 50's section or can I see it from the bridge that connects to the new part they are building? Do you see the countries light up or just the lasers and fireworks?

We were there this past March and stayed in 50s building, 4th floor facing the lake. We could see Illuminations in a distance but I wouldn't book that location just to see the fireworks. Basically you can see the fireworks but that is about all. I really wanted that location more for being quiet and it was.

We were also in Bldg 50 (Tramp) facing the lake and if we walk outside facing the jukebox bldg, we can see the fireworks.

I agree! Stay on the 50's side to be able to see the fireworks but that is all you will be able to see. It is still awesome and very enjoyable.

My family and I stayed at POP in the 50s section, Building 2, 4th floor, over by a Bowling pin. We had a fantastic view of both Wished and Illuminations. Sometimes they were togther which created an even bigger and better fireworks show. It was wonderful!
