Where do you "park" the scooter?

I am so excited my parents have agreed to join us on our trip. My dad has some heart and stamina type issues that will require him to use a scooter while we are there. He will be okay standing in line and walking onto rides, but will just need the scooter for the "walking" around the parks. So my question is can we just park the scooter where we park the stroller, or are there special areas for them? Thanks for any insight.

He is welcome to park the scooter in the stroller parking. However, he is also welcome to take the scooter in line right up to the ride and transfer to the ride car. Keep in mind that some queues are fairly long - I believe Soarin' is 1/4 mile long - so with stamina issues he may want that scooter to sit on in line.

Enjoy your vacation!

Yes, if he wants to park it, he will park with the strollers.

But, besides long walks, it's important to realize that some attractions have a wait for the next show where everyone will need to walk unless they have brought a mobility device in with them.

There is a list of those attractions n spots on page 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread. You can find that thread ear the top of this board or follow the link in my signature.

Something to keep in mind though is that there are a few rides that will not allow EVCs in the queue...they will allow you to transfer to a wheelchair....
Space Mtn, Pirates and Buzz Liteyear are some that immediately come to mind. I'm sure there are a couple of others. :)

There is slits in posts 18-22 on page 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread. That thread is near the top of this board or follow the link in my signature.

At those attractions, guests with ECVs who feel they cant walk in line can ask the CM at the entrance to borrow an attraction wheelchair.
