Where do you like to purchase APs?

We need to buy one AP (to get our hotel rates:) ) and 1 8 day adult hopper and 2 childrens hoppers (8 day)

Here's what I'm thinking:
Buy the AP voucher online to get the merchandise discount coupon

Then buy the the other passes through getaway today, because I can't seem to find the 8 day hoppers anywhere.

Any other suggestions? Easier methods (to my madness:rolleyes: )

Thanks!

An eight day hopper (if it existed) would cost more than an AP. Five days is probably enough.

Actually, at Getaway Today, the 8 day hoppers are $209 (adult) and $179 (kids) and the Deluxe annual pass is $239, so that's why we're thinking of going that route. We likely won't be back within a year (famous last words:rolleyes: )so, we thought we'd only get the one!

Thanks!

Sorry I'm a real options thinker. For the slight saving you make in purchasing an 8 day at a discount, you could buy everyone a year of potential disney time. Let's say you go, have a great time, then return home and in a few months Disney-philia sets in. (Inexplicable need to experience Alice in Wonderland again). Happens all the time. You decide you want to book another trip for next spring (as an example) - well if you'd have just bit the bullet and shelled a few extra dollars on the first trip, you'd be way ahead for the next trip. I pay now to have better options later, but this is how I am trained to think and I know it doesn't always translate.

Oh man! I can SO relate!:) We did that the first time! We actually live in Canada, so the first time we went, we thought, "oh, we won't be back for a LONG time". Guess who went back the next year at about the same time? Yup! uS 1:rolleyes1

This time, though, we DID discuss getting 4 APs, but it would cost us about $140 more than our original plan. We can't see how we could make it back within a year, so we're not sure if that's a good way to spend the $140. I dunno. Do you still think it would be a better idea?

Thanks for the input!:goodvibes

FYI, getaway today charges a $10 service fee on top of your total ticket cost. Call disneyland, they have free shipping and they will also sell you an 8 day hopper.

Thanks! I knew about the ten bucks, (we've used them before), but I DIDN'T know I could get the 8 day hopper from Disney! Cool! And don't they send you the actual tickets? Would I call the same number as for the hotels? (714-mickey)

Thanks!:goodvibes

Just remember that if you buy that AP ahead of time, the rest of your party will get EE and you will not. If you want to be able to get in with them, you need to buy a park hopper, then upgrade!! There are NO exceptions to this at the gate!

I totally agree with CoolPool.

We decided to spend the extra $70 for 2 adults and one child to get AP's.......and I find myself already planning a trip after our upcoming trip in November. I just can't help myself! However, we are only about 6 hours away.
