Where do you get your Junior size dd's their jeans?

I wear junior sizes and I get my jeans from Target. I think they fit pretty well.

I don't normally spend alot of money on jeans for any of us, but dh said "I don't care what they cost, as long as the cover her".
He's having a hard time dealing with the fact that she isn't his little girl anymore

That is exactly how dd ended up getting a pair of Miss Me for Christmas! She liked the fit and dh liked the coverage.

They are long but she either wears boots with them or a shoe with a heel depending on whether she is dressing up or down. (dd is 5'2" and we got the shortest they come in).

She will be getting them for her birthday too.

fits my DD very well.. but I do have to say that I don't let her out of the house w/out a belt. It makes a lot of difference.

Lands End jeans start at a 2 so those might work since I know they would cover well. Do you have an inlet nearby? Great deals to be found there.

I've gotten my jeans from American Eagle since I was 14- they're the only ones that fit me. I do wear a belt with all my jeans, though.

The only brand I haven't seen mentioned here is Pacsun (the Bullhead jeans.) They have always been my favorite pair of jeans since I was sixteen. Many girls wore them in high school.

As far as how much they cover/show, I don't have any trouble with them as long as they fit properly (whereas I have had trouble with Hollister.)

I remember when I started wearing junior sizes, mom used to make me lift my shirt and show her how low cut the jeans were but eventually came to terms with the fact that that is just the way juniors jeans are made these days and I'm not sure we've ever found a pair that are much higher. A belt helps.

My DD 13 is tall, 5'7.5" and is all legs - we have been having jean issues for awhile now. We just got her a couple of pairs of Levi's skinny jeans that fit great, cover everything, are long enough and she loves them. Score!

Where did you get them? I have an issue getting my 12 year old Jeans- she like the skinny and super skinny jeans but the only place I can find them that fit her is Justice- and Justice is NOT cool for a 12 year old LOL. We foudn a pair in Macys that fit but it was -as my daughter put it- "OMG I can't wear these they are bedazzled". She takes a size 10 and all the pants at Aero are way to large for her- she wants Jeans from Aero, Hollister, Abercrobie etc but can't get any that are not to big!

Aero jeans fit my teen very nicely, and aren't horribly low rise. We've also gotten some at JCP.

While I'm sure she'd like some Miss Me jeans, I'm not taking out a second mortgage.

Same here on the Miss Me jeans. I refuse to pay the almost $100.00 for jeans for my still growing daughter.

My 19 year old (who is about the size of a 13 year old Lol) buys most of her jeans at JC Penney's. She's weird about how clothes fit her and that's where she usually finds stuff that fits her.

Your DH goes shopping with you? I can't imagine going shopping with my husband and a teenage daughter.....I hate shopping and to add my husband to the mix would be a nightmare!!

How about Delia's? My DD gets her jeans there and I even have a few pair I've gotten there.

Same here! Oh and we shop when they have the buy one get one 1/2 off sale, plus use a coupon and their "member card".

However my younger dd is almost 16 and she has moved on to American Eagle.

The problem might just be that your DH's little girl has curves she didn't have before. Aero jeans fit me v. well, but I have wide hips, small waist and my butt is flatter than roadkill. Women with J-Lo bums can't wear them.

I wouldn't throw my hands up just yet: I'd look at the shape of her rear end and her hips; then start trying to find the jean type that fits a girl with her figure. The jean brands and styles she wore when she had a girl's figure aren't the ones she'll need to graduate to now that she has a woman's shape.

I do wonder if the fact that your DD has those curves might be behind some of your DH's angsting. You might (and I don't know him, so I don't know if this is even part of it, but guessing from MY Dh's reaction to our goddaughter growing up, it might be) need to remind him that even in a nun's habit she'll still have all those curves and that this is a GOOD thing.

Wasn't there a song once from some folk singer? "Fathers, be good to your daughters/Daughters will love like you do./Girls become lovers who turn into mothers/So mothers, be good to your daughters too." I think it went. Circle of life stuff.

Yes, he is definitely having issues with her getting older, and looking it. Luckily I am there to help keep in check about things. He really does accept the fact that she is turning into a young woman, he just worries about her.
The one thing he won't budge on is the clothing. I do have to give him credit, he accepts that clothes are tighter, but he refuses to let her have anything "hanging out", so low cut jeans and short shorts have always been an issue. We have always been able to find middle ground, things we thought were appropriate, and things dd liked to wear. Now that she has a teen's body, its just getting harder to find things that fit where we don't have things (almost) hanging out. I am so dreading bathing suit shopping this year.

When my 2 DD were in middle school they started with Aero jeans.
The older went on to Pacsun, Hollister, American Eagle and A & F (didn't last long with the price). Now at 21 she buys them on sale wherever it may be.
My younger DD went from Aero, Pacsun and now only Hot Topic.
2 totally different kids!

I'm so glad this thread was started - we have the same problem with my DD - age 10.5. She is curvy in the hips and also very long waisted - which seems to be a disastrous combination with the jeans styles these days.

DD has always worn Lands End jeans, but even those are lower cut now - even the lesser lower cut ones can show her behind. She told me yesterday that 1/2 the teachers in the school were telling her to pull her pants up! (I'm sure I'm getting the great parenting award.)

We're going to have to go jeans shopping this weekend - I'm dreading it.

Most of DD's junior jeans came from garage sales and consignment shop. When we had town wide GS last year I took a measuring tape and measured waist, hips, rise and inseam. At home I had measured a pair of jeans that fit to compare measurements to. She was at school. Those that I did buy after checking measurements all worked and passed her approval! A miracle!

The junior size jeans she has are DKNY, Silver, Old Navy and Cruel Girl (western). All of them have a sufficiently high rise without being too high and don't gap. Before my measuring tape epiphany I brought home Aero and some other more typical junior brands and those were too low.

She is borderline junior/kids so she also has several Gap and Old Navy size girls 16, and one pair Abercrombie in girls 14. One Gap 16 was recently put away for sister, so I fear the others will soon follow.

I would like to get the kids to the consignment again soon- it looks like they have a lot of capris and shorts out, but DD13 despises trying on clothes. She'll tell me she doesn't need any. Then when time comes it's "I don't have anything to wear!"

Have you tried Old Navy? My 15YO DD likes the Super Skinny jeans from Old Navy (she wears size 16 girls) and they are the only place she has been able to find ones that fit her nicely. And I like that they are not expensive
