People keep posting that they get tons of great free magazines. How do you do this?

Someone once posted a link for free Family Fun magazine and I got in on it (Thanks again to that poster!). All I had to do was fill out my information, not wade through a bunch of "special offers". That is what I'm looking for. Am I expecting too much?
Thanks!

In the past I/we have gotten a lot of free magazines. I haven't found many truely free magazines lately, where you didnt' have to sign up for something else to get.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe they're just not as easy to find anymore.

I have a few magazine subs that I am willing to transfer to the first person that PM's me their name and mailing address. Don't forget to say what Magazine you are interested in.

You can find some free subscriptions at all-freemagazines.com
Most of them are totally free (no filling out for other offers) but the better ones (People) you have to complete some sort of offer. Hope this helps!!! :cool1:

I get lots of free magazines from http://www.freebizmag.com, but you have to "qualify". I think I always qualify because I work in a medical clinic (where there are waiting rooms and lots of people have the opportunity to look at magazines). I get the magazines delivered to my home, but take them to work after I've read them. I'm also a member of http://www.freelancebyu.com which has a forum that people routinely post their free magazine finds.

freebiz is a great resource. Also check on all types of freebie boards. Usually posts are created when someone finds out about a new subscription available.

You will find things, if you look hard enough.

Do you get mainstream magazines from this site? The ones I've seen on there are "I-work-in-a-medical-clinic Quarterly" type. ;) Very specific topics.

Yes, some are very specific topics ( I got my dad "Cigar Aficianado") but I've also gotton "Organic Style", "Field & Stream", "Computer Shopper" (ok, that's specific). You'll not usually be invited to get titles like Redbook, LHJ, People, etc. The way I look at it is I get to try magazines I never would have read before. No, I don't like all of them, but some are very useful (ie, "Computer Shopper"). Some I give as gifts ("Field and Stream" to my Grandpa for Christmas and "Horse Illustrated" to FIL for his birthday, "Golf" to my uncle). You can go in and change the name and have it sent to an alternate address.

I know this isn't quite what you had in mind, but a few years ago when I worked in an office, I sent an email to all my co-workers asking them to bring in any magazines they'd read and didn't want to keep. WELL! It seemed like every day there were new magazines on my desk!! When I got duplicates, I just dropped them off at the nursing/retirement home (where I was also volunteering at the time). (It was also very interesting to discover what some of my co-workers read in their spare time!)

Now I work from home so I miss getting all those great reads!

Wow!! Really?!?!?!?
That'd be awesome.

I got my free magazines through a thread at fatwallet.com. I signed up for food art and cruising monthly through freebizmagazines.com.
