This might be a dumb question but I've seen quite frequently on other threads that if you stand by the rope drops in the monring you can be first on a ride but how do you know where they are so you can stand there ready for the rope to drop?

Does the above question make any sense?:confused3

Just thinking about being one of the first on BTM and POTC but can see me and mate heading in the opposite direction to everyone else wandering around looking for a piece of rope:rotfl:

i'd like to know this too, and Emma said they were family of the day or something, is that just random?? I'd love to get a little perk of some kind just for being early!?

The best place to wait for POC is from Fantasyland (assuming it is open for EMH) Wait near the rope (Yes its an actual rope) near Peter pan ride at the entrance to Adventureland

To get to BTM you need to wait at rope drop near entrance to Frontierland off central plaza - we waited here last year and there was quite a large group in front of us and as soon as the rope dropped they dashed to Frontierland but once they reached there they stopped to suss out where the entrance to the ride was. So if you can check it out first - test the route whilst the park is open one day then you'll be able to head right there. Be warned tho the queue builds up quickly and if queueing outside the entrance to get in some people ignore that queue and just push in by the entrance
