Where do you eat when you stay at the Beach Club?

I've been considering staying at BC with my husband and daughter (she'll be 6) for our first trip. I really am curious as to where everyone eats there breakfast lunch and dinner when they stay at BC- and if navigating the Boardwalk for food is too time consuming or tiring. I'm especially interested in the time it takes to get to the Bakery and other Boardwalk options.

Thanks!

BTW- we wouldn't be eating EVERY meal at the Beach Club or Boardwalk, just getting a feel for what it would be like for any given meal.

Beaches and Cream is great for lunch or dinner or just ice cream. It is very easy to get over to the Boardwalk, the Bakery is my favorite place to walk to and get a muffin for breakfast. Its about a 10 minute walk over. You can take the boat but I've found walking to be faster.
There is also Cape May Cafe for a character Breakfast and dinner they have a pretty good buffet which includes seafood and other selections.
The YC has some pretty good sit down choices for breakfast and/or dinner as well.
here is a link from Deb Wills site that has the menus for each of the resorts in WDW

We loved Cape May enough to eat there twice. And you have a bounty of restaurants there at EPCOT just a stroll away. One of the very best resorts for dining opportunities that Disney has IMO.

I agree totally with Doc Goofy, the EPCOT Resorts probably have the greatest variety of dining options within walking distance, than any other Disney resort, from signature dining to quick service, and that is not including restaurants within EPCOT or DHS.

Bon Appetit

We stayed Club Level at the BC. I wouldn't stay at any of the Epcot resorts unless we did Club Level. Between the breakfast, evening hors d'oeuvres, and nightly desserts, we barely had to "find" food elsewhere. It was more than worth it for our family of 4, convenience wise.

I do feel that the Epcot resorts are seriously lacking in, particularly, breakfast offerings.

You could go to the Dolphin to Picabus for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They have lots of options. Probably the best you'll find in the area as far as quick service goes. And, it's open 24/7.

At Epcot. Maybe in the villa. Usually other places. We might have breakfast at Cape May once, maybe get something at the Marketplace. But for the most part, the Epcot resorts aren't that great for dining.

This has been my stumbling block with staying at the Epcot resorts too. Where does one go just to refill your mug? Or grab a breakfast or snack- CS. Most of the time we eat in the parks for lunch, and go to a TS for dinner in the parks or resort. But.......I like grabbing some eggs or toasted bagel for breakfast, in the CS, and fill mug with coffee, or whatever.

I know BC has a grab & go, but is that it :confused3 For dinner Epcot dining is :thumbsup2 However I don't like to have to go hunting for breakfast!

Yep that is pretty much it. The Epcot resorts are great for full service dining but not for quick service

It is a short walk to Boardwalk from the BC...taking around 8-10 minutes. YC is attached to the BC, so it is minor navigation to walk to the YC, pasing Beaches and Creme (no adrs accepted) on the way. You also have the Swan and Dolphin close by too. We normally have park hopper tickets, so dining at Epcot WS is an option with the International Entrance only being about a 5-10 minute-short walk away. England to the left and France to the right. We normally dined at Epcot for a lunch or dinner depending on the parks plans. I would also state we only rarely dine counter service, but did use the counter service at the BC and took our food up to the club at lunch. Again, Epcot has counter service option right next door too.

For Breakfast - you can go to the Beach Club Market Place, they have pasteries, cereal, breakfast sandwiches and made to order yogurt parfaits (my favorite). You can also get pasteries and breakfast sandwiches at the Boardwalk bakery. The Captains Grille has a great breakfast - you can order ala carte or have the buffet. Finally Cape May Cafe is a really nice character breakfast - the food is fresh and hot and the characters are very playful. The last two are sit down meals.

For Lunch - you can get sandwiches and salad at the Market Place. Hurricane Hannas at the pool is always fun - the Turkey sandwich is very good! They have sandwiches at the Boardwalk Bakery too. You can order appitizers and a few entrees at the Crews Cup Lounge (next to the Yachtsman Steakhouse).

For dinner - the menues at the above lunch suggestions are pretty much the same for dinner. You can also get quick food at the kiosks on the Boardwalk or Pizza from the pizza window.

And since you mentioned that you will have park hoppers you can always take the boat (or walk) to the World Showcase or DHS.

There are also a few sit down restaurants in the area - ESPN, Big River Grill, Kouzinna, The Captains Grille , Yachtsman Steakhouse, Beaches and Cream and The Cape May Cafe. (I didnt inclued the ones at the Swan & Dolphin.)

I think this really covers it. We never had a problem finding breakfast (or any other meal for that matter). We either grabbed something quick at the marketplace or had an ADR somewhere.

That was the worst part of our family trip last year. We ate breakfast at Cape May once which was okay. We had dinner at yachtsman which again was just okay. It took too long for us to walk over to the boardwalk for a quick breakfast so we tried the grab and go at the marketplace. It has only a few selections and the breakfast sandwiches made my father sick. We stayed away from that place the rest of the trip!:lmao:

We tried Beaches and Cream for dinner one night but in my opinion, not worth a ts credit. We also had an hour wait.

The place we used the most was Hurricanne Hannah's. Their cheeseburgers were very good. Unfortunately, it is not open for breakfast.

We will not stay again at BC because of all the issues trying to find food.

We ordered breakfast items from gardengrocer instead!

The Beach Club has been our RESORT OF CHOICE! It's our favorite...

The problem will be tearing ourselves away next visit because I HAVE to try something new...

That being said...

We are NOT big BREAKFAST people and my rule is that EVERYONE must eat something before we leave the room.... Plus we drive in and are able to bring a TON of quick breakfast foods... oatmeal, muffins, grits, cereal, breakfast bars, Etc. Rooms have Microwave/Refrig.. or at least ours always have.

So the Epcot area works GREAT for us.

We've eaten at BC's Cape May Clam Bake Buffet about 4x.... It works for us..but I would NOT call it a "Destination Restaurant" and recommend anyone travel to eat there... It's Buffet like H&V plus more seafood.

We've eaten at Beaches & Cream twice. Okay. In May I liked my Roast Beef dip sandwich but DS got sick on his meal. Nothing to write home about.

Hurricane Hanna's has been GREAT! Hanna's by the pool has been Good food and plenty... They have been good about 'holding' the 'dessert' ice creams until we were ready for them...

Also have been to Boardwalk (Bakery and Pizza) for some of their options which were fine. I would LOVE to try Kouzzina's, Kimono's and Flying FIsh but haven't had the opportunity yet....

I"ve tried Captains Grille dinner... Okay... WE've run to Le Cellier... LOVED that....

There are Plenty of Dining options.... just keep your mind open and remember you are within walking distance... although with the 6 year old... may be a bit more of a trek than with pre-teens/teens/adults...

Hugs,
Mary
