Where do you Eat the First night at WDW?

Last time we got to Pop Century at 11:30 AM. We had lunch in the food court. Then we went to MK. Our first dinner was LTT (it had characters back then, not going back there this coming trip).

On our next trip in July our first night we are going to Chef Mickey's for dinner when it opens. My boys requested to go there again (did breakfast last time, on the last morning of the trip), and my parents, sister and nieces will also be with us and they wanted to start the trip with a character meal. We all agreed on Chef Mickey's.

Last year our first night was spent at DTD as we didn't do a park on the day we flew in...we ate at T-Rex...much better than expected!

This year we will probably do DTD again but probably will try either Fulton's or Portebello (sp?). It's tradition for us to do DTD on the first night though!!

We like Whispering Canyon Cafe b/c it gives the kids a good chance to be active during dinner. That workd well after a long day traveling. They have wooden stick horses the kids can can ride around the restaurnat and the kids get a chance to "help" other people dining with their "requests". Or, a character meal at a resort is a good option b/c it gives the kids a chance to see character w/ out entering a park and using atickert..we like 1900 Park Fare ffor dinner w Cinderella and the royal family

I am thinking about going to T-Rex. This is new to me and I think our ds3 would love it. I am just wondering if the food is any good. I have not seen any mentions on the quality of the food.

Just saw your post on this...I found the T-Rex restaurant to be pretty good actually! I'm not a huge fan of the food at Rainforest Cafe (I always think of Rainforest when I think of T-Rex....are they suppoed to be related?), however I really enjoyed my meal at T-Rex. The menu had more variety IMO. The atmosphere was really fun as well...we sat next to a giant aquarium..a great experience! :thumbsup2

Chef Mickey's for dinner, and then we take the monorail around the Magic Kingdom.

And least that's what we've done the past 3 trips. Probably what we will do next time, but things can change...

Its our tradition to look round the resort we are staying at and then get pizza delivery!!!! woohoo!! but i dont think OKW does pizza delivery so... :sad2::sad2: not sure this year!
