This year we are staying at BWV:cool1:! Typically we do the DDP and most of the CS are for breakfast. We have stayed in AKLV,SSR, etc. and they all have a CS type restaurant "cafeteria" (gasp) type place for eating those darn mickey waffles everyday :thumbsup2 ! So I keep looking and I don't see anything like this at the Boardwalk :confused3... Am I missing something? Please help my little ones will be certainly in waffle withdrawal without them!

we encountered the same mickey waffle withdrawal problem last Sept when we were at BCV...we found you could get mickey waffles at the BCV buffet character b'fast (Cape May), but not at BWV (the Bakery on the Boardwalk is their primary CS location, altho you can get fruit, juice, milk and certain b'fast pastries (cinnamin rolls I remember) on the Inn side of the BW w/snack credits)..BC's Marketplace has more variety (and is CS), but no mickey waffles there...

One morning we took a Downtown Disney Bus and walked over to SSR to get the kids mickey waffles...another possibilty would have been to go to a park and then catch a bus at the park to one of the resorts that serves mickey waffles (I do remember them at the Grand FLoridian CS spot two years ago)...

Absolutely nothing but mickey waffles would satisfy our 7 year-old...she was a good sport about not getting them the first day or two, but after that she was so "sad" (not pitching fits or misbehaving in any way...just "sad" enough that we went thru the trouble of bussing to Downtown Disney and walking over to SSR...she was THRILLED! It was definitely worth the trouble.)

Happy vacation; hope you can find something that will satisfy your kids!

Ohhh this is going to be troublesome.... I don't want to be seeking out breakfast every day and wasting precious time. Typically I like to fill my refill mug at breakfast and leave it in the room and not drag it around the parks all day. What a pain!! Is there at least a mug refill place at BWV?

Last time I checked, the Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club (across the lake from BWV) serves your choice of a breakfast buffet or ala carte items (including the Mickey waffles). Has this changed?

Yes there is. It's at the Boardwalk bakery.

We find the CS options when staying at BWV to be minimal. For counter service, we usually go to Sunshine Seasons at Epcot. We do breakfast in the room. While the Captains Grille may be an option, it is probably at least a 10 minute trip there, so I would plan to head to the parks directly from the Yacht Club or just get a CS meal once you get to the Parks.

Usually the line for the Bakery is pretty long in the AM and the mugs are not self serve. In December, the line seemed shorter than usual, but that may be because many people were not willing to wait outdoors when the wether was so cold. -- Suzanne

refill at the bakery or the bel vue lounge on the lobby level on the BWInn side ( opens at 6;30 or 7 am) danish, coffee ,etc:goodvibes

CS at BWV is the Boardwalk Bakery which would be a real pain to get to every morning for breakfast.

We normally always eat breakfast in the villa and often get a breakfast snack in the parks mid-morning at places like Main St. Bakery and Starring Rolls etc.

FWIW Kouzzina has my favorite breakfast anywhere at Disney. It's not CS, but it is worth it!

Wow thanks for all the suggestions! You guys are the best!! :cool1: I will need to do some research and some adr shuffling or maybe get bakery items the night before and eat those in the AM in the room, and have a CS "brunch" type meal at the parks. This might be the start of something new!! All my dinner ADRs are for 5:00p and this may be too early - uggh!! What to do:confused:
