Where Do You Eat Breakfast?

way off topic ... but brits also add an extra syllabyl to aluminum and then there is the lift and the loo (aka WC)

don't get me started on brits....
but by the same token, don't get any of my neighbors started on americans....we have a grand old time laughingly flaming each other.......fortunately i work for an american company, or i'd be totally out of luck with my spelling...i'm too old to re-learn everything....
and yes, way off topic.....but it did kind of start with food...
let's see....in the spirit of helping our fellow cruisers who might have a problem when ordering food......i think the british call eggplant, aubergine....or something like that....that one took me a while....

If you eat at the sit down buffet, there are omelets stations and eggs benedict statiion, but the server never told us about them. I did not notice until after I had already eaten. I would have prefered this over the scrambled eggs off of the buffet.
Lumiers for lunch is great, not crowded at all. Either is the breakfast.

we ate at tritons very early so i don't know what the crowd situation was like...
in addition to enjoying being served by waiters, i love the decor of tritons....it's understated elegance......very nice and quiet...
i should add, that even for dinner, tritons is my favorite....then animators, then parrot cay...
although in parrot cay the waiters did some cute stuff (for the 4th of july)....
we also liked the menu at tritons best....
and the breakfast menu was very varied....

i guess you can see we liked tritons....

i don't know what it's like for lunch since we ate off the ship and room service for lunch....which was also very good..

oh..i just remembered....we also ordered a pre-breakfast breakfast from room service....

my daughter needs to eat something the moment she wakes up...she's very tall and very thin and needs to eat all the time (she carries pretzels and granola bars in her pockets at all times.....if she doesn't eat for a while she passes out)...
anyway....because of that i wanted to have something for her to eat the moment she woke up since it takes us a little while to get ready before going down to breakfast...
so i ordered her something from room service for when she woke up...(juice, cereal, muffin...something like that)....
and after that we went down to tritons to eat breakfast...

We are early risers.. I go to work out and so DH gets up and goes to deck 9 gets the coffee and donuts for all of us while we shower and dress, then off to a nice sit down breakfast..DS #2 then demands to go to Topsiders and have donuts and fruit Loops after his full breakfast.. I go to walk and then join them for coffee.. dress is wharever you wearing .. we did not encounter any lines at Lunch or breakfast..

Thanks for the 'Americanisms' , or 'English-isms'

I don't like smoked salmon, so won't be ordering 'lox' for breakfast.

I can imagine the differences in our language can be quite amusing, or embarassing depending on one's sense of humour.

I've already been warned about 'fags' - cigarettes to us, and I'm sure I will never be able to call a 'bumbag' a 'fannypack', that's just too rude.
