I always used to do my reading in bed - before I went to sleep at night.. At DD's, I have to read sitting on my bed (day or night) because there just isn't anywhere else that is comfortable enough (or has enough light) for me to read there..

Up here at the lake, I read in my recliner in the kitchen/living room area.. I read so much up here that if I did my reading in bed, I would be in there 24 hours a day! LOL.. :goodvibes

At home, in bed. When traveling, I find a comfortable chair near a good lamp...

I do all of my reading in the car! I have absolutely no time to read when I'm not at work and by the time I hit the bed (after going to the gym), I pass out. I get an hour lunch break and I love nothing more than going to a pretty shaded spot, rolling down the windows/opening the sunroof, kicking off my shoes and reading a good book (even when it's 90 degrees and humid!). During the winter I take a blanket and run the accessory mode on my car so that my heated seats work. I love it and I always look forward to it.

Wow! That's different.. How interesting! :thumbsup2

I read on the front steps of the house when I want some sunshine, in our screen porch when I want to be outdoors but it's too hot out front, on the family room couch when being outside isn't appealing or it's dark, in bed before I go to sleep, and in the car if DH is driving and I'm not ready to put the book down yet.

Wherever I happen to be. :lmao: I don't go anywhere without a book so if I'm caught waiting somewhere, I have something to keep me occupied.

Mainly, I read in bed before going to sleep, on the couch while DH or dd is watching a tv show I'm not interested in, in our sunroom on pretty days or at work in the breakroom during lunch.

But really, I can read (and do) read anywhere I get a spare moment.

I read in the recliner in the living room most of the time. It has good lighting. If I have time to read during the day and the weather is nice, I'll sit on the screen porch or the deck. I also have a hanging "air chair" under the deck if the bugs aren't too bad.

On the nights I have to be at my office and I stay at my mother's, I read in the glider/rocker in her living room.

I never read in bed - gives me a stiff neck and just isn't comfortable.

I read in many places:
-bed before going to sleep and often in the morning before getting up.
-in the bathtub
-while brushing my teeth
-sitting at the table while I eat breakfast or lunch (if I'm eating alone)
-sitting on the couch, with the little water fountain running (very relaxing)

I read mostly in two places: in the bathtub or during commercials while watching tv (so, on the couch). I will also occasionally read while at my desk in the computer room.

Probably 90% of my reading is done in the cafeteria at work during my lunch hour. I don't have a lot of free time to read outside of work. Usually, I work out in the evenings and then I eat dinner and clean the kitchen and shower. By the time I sit down I oftentimes fall asleep on the couch and DH has to wake me so I will go to bed. On the weekend mornings when he works I sometimes bring my book to set by my bed the night before so if I wake up early enough I might take some time to read before I get up. That mostly is a cold weather thing though. I also will sometimes take a book out to the pool if I am by myself.

I am a bed reader, its just comfy but we also have a window seat at our house that has a cushioned seat and that is pretty comfy.

Loads of places inside the home, including bed, and any chance the weather is fine I'm out in the garden with my newspapers or latest novel. I love a good book when we go on holidays too. I tend to wake up early and head outside and chill with a cup of coffee somewhere, often whilst the rest of the world is still sound asleep!

I used to read in bed, my favorite spot. But my two dogs don't understand why they shouldn't lay on me in front of the book. Now I mostly read when I'm travelling for business. If I don't finish a book by the time I get home, I will struggle trying to finish it at home with the dogs!

I read in the bathroom for one main reason..... Nobody bothers me there, usually. If I want a few minutes to myself, I go in, lock the door, and ignore any pounding/screaming unless it sounds really serious. :rotfl2:
I sit on the counter, lay in the tub, or even, (heaven forbid! :scared1:) perch on the toilet!
Are you telling me nobody else reads in the biffy??? :confused3

I can only get uninterrupted reading when I'm in the bathroom. I've also found the closet to be a quiet zone for reading. :lmao:
Hey - when you have a kids sometimes you gotta get away. :rotfl2:

I guess when school starts next week, I will read in the family room.

Wow, I can't believe I'll be the first to post it but I do 95% of my reading on the train during the commute.
