Where do you buy your rain poncho?

I know WDW sells them in their stores, but does anyone buy them at home before you leave? I'm thinking I could purchase these before we leave and have them ready in case we need them. Where can I purchase them at home?

Mary

I acutally got mine in the $1 section at Target, it is a one-time use thing made of garbage bag material, but it is folded up very small so it doesn't take up any room until you need it. I've heard the dollar stores have them too, as does Walmart. Some pay more like $6, probably sturdier if you think you will need them multiple times.

Hi Mary,

We bought ours at a local sporting goods store - I think they were about $2 each. The ones at Disney are quite pricey in comparison, but admittedly more fun than our plain Jane ones!

hi,
dollar tree 2 for a $!! don't feel guilty if we wear them and chuck them if they get really wet.

We bought ours at Walmart in the camping section, they were in a very compacted package which made it great to toss in the fanny pack. We only used them once but then again it only rained one day of our last disney trip.

Yep, Dollar Store, or if you want one that will last, try WalMart or KMart for ones that are around $4. No mouse on the back, but basically the same poncho.

Either Dollar Tree 2 for $1, or Walmart for 88 cents. They *can* be reused on the same trip, but never fold up as tiny as they began.

I also got mine at Target in the dollar section. They came in orange and dark blue but were very flimsy...I doubt we'll be able to use them more than once.

I plan on buying some before I leave, but just curious, how much are the ones at Disney? Does anyone have any pictures of them?

ditto...I bought ours at the local Dollar Store for $1 a piece. If they rip or you don't feel like packing them to take home, just toss! True the Mickey ones are much more fun, but when would you use that again?! :umbrella:

If I recall they were maybe $5.95 each, for the adult ones.

Buy the Coleman ones from the sports department at either Target or Walmart; they are so tiny and easy to travel with.

I concur, Coleman's at Target for $1, see-thru so you can easily pick out your family's clothes and hair in a sea of yellow Disney ponchos, cheap enough to buy several and toss them when you're done, small enough to pack in the dreaded "fanny pack".

I think the Disney ones are about 7 bucks for adults. They are now clear which makes it a lot easier to spot your family members. The dollar ones works great for the wet rides but for actually wearing in the rain, the Disney ones are more heavy duty and longer.
