Hello, everyone!

I appologize in advance if this is a redundant question (which I'm sure it is), but the search function is not working. I knew someone out there would be able to tell me where to purchase a birthday pin. My husband suprised the @*&*^% out of me and said he'd take me to Disney World for my birthday....WITHOUT THE CHILDREN! I admit it, I love WDW more than my kids and would rather go there for a visit than pretty much anything else for my B-day (which, by the way is August 30th, so we'll be there Labor Day Weekend). I know I've heard people talk about getting a birthday pin, but I've never really paid close attention since we've never celebrated a birthday while at WDW. That is, until now:smooth: !

Also, any fun ideas for things to do? I will truthfully tell you that I will be turning 35...however, I am a big kid at heart:cool: .

Congratulations on your impending birthday and your trip to WDW!! One of the best things about the Birthday Pins are that they are completely FREE!! Just stop by Guest Services in the Town Hall at MK, and ask for a birthday pin. We took ds there for a birthday, and he had a blast.

As to what to do at WDW without the kids... well, I'm probably not a good role model... we left the kids behind when dh and I went to BCV for our anniversary last year, and they were shocked :earseek: when they found out that we only went on 1 ride during the entire long weekend! Somehow, we still found plenty to do. ;)

Thanks, HookedonWDW! I knew someone could tell me right away where to get a pin!

As for time without the kids, I would love to do some of the things we can't enjoy when the kids are with us (we have 4) like browse the shops, take more time in the countries at WS....and see Illuminations, which I've never seen. I'm also looking forward to riding some of my favorite rides WITH my husband. When we go with the kids, we use the baby swap, and so I didn't get to ride some favorites with him :).

If you can't make it to MK to get your pin, the Guest Services at the 3 other parks also have free birthday pins!!!! :teeth:

Ohhhh, wonderful! We were going to go to Disney MGM on the morning of my birthday, because it's EMH. Glad to know I won't have to trek to MK to get a birthday pin!

Thanks for the info, travelin' tigger!

I would highly recommend check the Illuminations Cruise share thread. It is an amazing experience!!!!!

I am going solo for the first time (in just 36 hours :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc ) I have wanted to take a backstage tour for years but you have to be over 18. I am so excited to see the utilidor tunnels and everything else, -ok I'm a Disney geek but in good company here!;)

Also, how about a romantic carriage ride at FW or POR

Maybe one of the resort tours (which are free) at BCV, VWL, AKL, or GF?

And of course, there are some great Mommy and Daddy type restuarants to try.

Maybe even Pleasure Island or Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk.

Ok, I've babbled enough

Enjoy
Sandy

A huge thumbs-up for the Adventurers' Club at Pleasure Island !!

We are not club-goers by any means .. don't drink or dance .. but we love the AC. If you enjoy humor, spend at least one evening here. There's nothin' like it, and it's got a special touch of Disney animatronics as well.
