Where do we watch fireworks on the 4th?

We are staying at POR July1-9. We have decided to go to Sea World on July 4 to avoid some of the crowds. However, we would like to see some fireworks that night. We do not want to waste one of our 7 day hopper tickets (since we will be there 9 days) by going into a park at night just to see Wishes.

Is there a resort that we could watch either MK or Epcot's fireworks display? I understand that Poly will turn you away if you are not staying at that resort especially on that particular night because of the beach being too crowded.

Our kids are 10, 8, and 4 and would want to see fireworks. Like most families, it is a tradition to watch fireworks on the 4th.

Suggestions anyone?

we made a PS at the restaurant at the Poly - O'hana's- and we are going to watch from there

Have you considered just staying at POR for a "resort" day. Just hanging around the pool and enjoying the day? Sea World may be quite busy that day also. I love resort days, they are soooo relaxing.

Make a reservation for one of the Grand FLoridian restaurants - 1900 Park Fare, Narcooses, Grand Floridian Cafe etc. and then hang around and watch Wishes from either the marina or boat dock. I did hear that Sea World has some spectacular fireworks though - you may want to stay and see them there!

I guess I did not realize that SW had 4th of July fireworks. That is definitely an option.

We thought about having the 4th as a down day, but decided to have our final day our down day, since we have to be at the airport late afternoon.

I like the GF idea too.

Thanks for all the help. DH and I will have to discuss our options.

I know last year on the 4th of July EPCOT had fireworks and some really neat pictures and things projected onto Spaceship Earth. Does anyone know if EPCOT will be having fireworks this year on the 4th of July. If they are perhaps you could see them from one of the resorts, I'm not sure which ones (maybe Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach, Swan and Dolphin) or maybe someone could suggest a possible location.

A little off topic, but does anyone know if Sea World had fireworks on NYE? We could see fireworks from MK, Epcot, MGM, PI, Old Town, Universal, and someplace else that we didn't know what it was on NYE from our house. (and a bunch more in the distance!) The direction and distance would indicate that possibly it was Sea World, but we didn't know they had fireworks...
