Anyone know where the cheerleaders are staying in March? Anyone have a site I can go to to find our more? They were there during our trip this past March and even though we are not planning on going again until Springbreak 2007 I am kind of monitoring where these large groups are staying so I can avoid them. So far it seems the large groups don’t stay at Pop Century and I hope it stays that way.

I've been twice in Feb and had these groups at both ASMovies and CBR. I never found them to be "unbearable" ... Just a little annoying at times ;) After all, they're TEENAGERS ! :rotfl2:

We are doing the UCA Championships March 10th to the 13th. The info is not out yet for this year. Last year the travel packages were at the CBR and the All Stars. We won't be doing the travel package because we are making it a 10 day vacation. We will be splitting our trip between the Poly and the BWV.

The bulk of them seem to be at the All-Star resorts, but they are spread all over WDW. You will encounter groups of various sizes at every Disney resort.

I haven't had any real problems with any of the cheerleaders or Pop Warner kids, except that 40 cheerleaders singing "RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER - REINDEER!!! - HAD A VERY SHINY NOSE!" at the tops of thier lungs on a bus for 20 minutes can get just a little annoying.

Thanks. I will admit they were very nice girls and my 14 year old son just loved it.

I need some assistance from other parents who have made the trek to Disney for any Cheerleading competition. My daughter's team is going in March and we've been given several options to choose from, regarding packages and such. First of all, what is a "Park Hopper Pass" and why does it cost so much ($155)? If we arrive on Thursday, the team has practice on Friday afternoon, the competition is on Saturday and Sunday, and we leave Monday...do I have to pay for admission to all of the parks when i doubt if we even get to spend five hours total in any of them? The competition is being held at the "Wide World of Sports" - is that one of the Disney parks as well? Doesn't the monorail connect all of the Disney parks?

Call me one confused Dad - anyone who can shed some light on their own experiences for me or who can answer a question or two, please tell me. I'd greatly appreciate it!

The UCA High School Championships are February 10 - 14. The resort options are All-Stars or Caribbean Beach! :cheer2:

Welcome Juice! I am not a parent, but I think I can answer a few of your questions.

1) A park hopper pass is a pass which allows you to enter more than one of the 4 Disney parks in the same day. If you are being offered one that costs $155, I would say that it is probably a 3-day pass.

Disney passes must be used within 14 days of the first use, so if you go into the parks on Thursday, that uses one day of the pass, and you have 14 days to use the other 2 days. You can also pay an extra fee to make the pass non-expiring, so that if you don't use all 3 days of it, the unused days never expire.

Disney tickets can be very confusing. I recommend that you read this excellent guide to get some more insight into the way they work:
http://allearsnet.com/pl/ticket.htm

2)Disney's Wide World of Sports complex is a sports complex on Disney property that hosts all sorts of sporting events. It is not one of the Disney theme parks, but it is part of Walt Disney World.

3)The monorail does not run everywhere on Disney property. There are two lines - one line connects the Magic Kingdom park with 3 resorts and the parking lot, and the other line connects Magic Kingdom with Epcot. However, you can get from anywhere to anywhere on Disney property using the bus system, so all you need to do to get to the Wide World of Sports is catch a bus from your hotel.

I hope I've cleared up a little of your confusion. Don't hesitate to ask anything else you might think of.
