Where do I start?

This will be our first trip to DW with 4 kids under age 10 and adults. So far I have a dining plan that is the basic, but I don't know where or how to begin making reservations for our trip in March. Any advice on where to begin?

I always start with which park I'm going to and on which day. I have been using the calendars at www.easywdw.com to help me pick the best days. March 2016 is up but be aware that Disney could change those park hours since it's so far out.

Then I decide where I want to eat and have a 2nd choice in case I can't get my first one. I always start booking with the hardest restaurant to get first like Chef Mickey's or Be Our Guest.

All you need to do once you have things planned out is go to the www.mydisneyexperience.com website, log in and go to dining reservations and you can choose your date and restaurant to book.

If you can't get into a restaurant you want, don't give up. People cancel and change theirs all the time.

You can go on the www.disneyworld.com website to look at descriptions and menus of restaurants. You can also make reservations on the website since you are already within 180 days of your trip. You will also find explanations on the different dining plans. You will want to create a My Disney Experience account where you will be able to link your hotel, dining reservations, fast passes, etc. Good luck!

Hello,

Decide:

1. Which park you are going to each day
2. Where lunch and where dinner ( make a chart )
3. Call WDW Dining and make all of the table service reservations ASAP, they fill up very, very very fast!
Make dining your first priority.
My family and I have gone to WDW over 8 times. Our favorite dinner table service restaurants are:
Tonys Town Square for dinner, Be Our Guest for dinner - Both at the Magic Kingdom
Via Napoli and Teppan Edo at Epcot
50s Prime time Cafe at the Holl. Studios
On the Animal Kingdom Day, we go to the Polynesian Resort after and have dinner at Ohana, my families favorite restaurant at WDW. Then we watch the Electrical water pageant and the fireworks from the Poly's beach.
There are also many character meals that get raves, such as the Garden Grill at Epcot or Chef Mickey's, and many others.
I know it sounds crazy, but grab the reservations quickly before you get boxed out, you can always drop them later.

I always check out crowd calendars and then choose my park days. From there I look at restaurants within the parks and choose breakfast of dinner if doing so makes sense for us on that day. If not I choose one at a resort. I never bounce all over WDW for food, we try to make each meal make sense.

With kids and the dining plan yo may want to include character meals, so I would book them ASAP. It is okay to book a few extra to have while you tweak your plans, and let them go when you firm the plans.

I end to try to book a few Pre park opening breakfasts if they are available. I may not keep them all, but I like to have them while I plan our itineary, they are tough to get if you wait too long.

Others have said to book dining as soon as possible and that advice bears repeating.Once they ar gone, it si work to secure some of the populars meals.
