Where do I start?

I am new the these boards. I am not yet engaged but I know that he has bought the ring. I have been to Disney at least 27 times and I am only 24. We stay at the Polynesian every time we go so that is the only resort I am really familiar with. I want to have an intimate disney wedding but I don't know where to start. Help!

Hello, and welcome to the boards.
You will find lots of information here, but you can also visit Disney Intimate Weddings . There you can explore around at your different options. There is also a tool called wishbook which is a lot of fun to use!

Ok thanks so much! I am very familiar with Disney but not the wedding part of it. I hope I don't have more than 18 people. I didn't realize there was a limit that small! Does that include the wedding party?

That includes everyone in attendance (except for the bride and groom, I believe; that brings the total up to 20). However, if you plan to have a larger ceremony, you can upgrade to a Custom Wedding, which is more expensive, but with different features. Information on those weddings are also available on the Disney site, or you can request that they send you a brochure. Hope this helps!

I can relate to you. i was married at the Poly in 2004. It was amazing and I did all the arrangements over the phone and the internet. the only thing you have to do is show up. The staff came to the room and steamed my dress, did my hair, and fitted my husband for his tux. I had my dinner at Victoria & Alberts and that was even more amazing. I had 12 people, and they all say it was the best wedding they ever attended.

Get onto the Disney Weddings website and order the Video/DVD...it's a bout 30 minutes long, a little corny, but it gets you thinking about all the things they can do for you, no matter what kind of wedding you want..
