We're staying lodge concierge at the GF and I noticed that concierge have a separate check in area. I wondered if we go straight to the concierge lodge or is it at the main check-in area?

We got upgraded last year, but made our initial contact at the check-in desk. Just wondering what I do when I arrive.

Thanks in advance.

When you get out of the car, tell the bellhop or valet or whoever is there to help with your bags that you are a concierge guest. They will contact the lodge, and send out a concierge to walk you to the lodge and introduce you to the staff there. They will check you in. Your bags will arrive shortly after.

*123JOANNA123*, in all the times I've stayed at the GF, we have not been able to check in upstairs once. We were always told to check in at the Front Desk. I hope your check-in process goes the way it should for a concierge guest, at the concierge desk. Have a lovely vacation.

Janet- what time did you arrive? We're arriving late-ish (around 7pm) and I guess the lodge concierge desk may be closed.

Last year, we checked in at the main desk, were told we were upgraded and to sit on the couches and wait for someone to come get us. A very nice CM then brought us to Sugar Loaf, giving us a mini-guided tour on the way, and we were given all our details (with our wallet with all the info) at the concierge desk. We also got our KTTK cards and made a couple of PS's.

This year, as we'll be bona fide concierge guests, I was looking forward to getting the extra service- I hope it works out too Janet- sorry to hear you didn't get the correct treatment.

*123JOANNA123*, we have arrived at all hours of the day, but primarily during the morning and afternoon hours. The concierge desk/lounge was usually open during our arrivals, and yet we were always told to check in at the Front Desk. From all my years here on the Dis, I must say that that seems to be the norm for the GF, unlike the other deluxe resorts, which I find quite sad considering the GF is always touted as the "flagship" resort. Go figure. The AKL, on the other hand, sure knows how to check in a concierge guest in style. We had curbside check-in for all our concierge stays. (The AKL is my favorite resort, while the GF is my husband's favorite resort. Different strokes for different folks. ;) )
