Hi
We're staying at AK Villas
Leave in 3 days.
We'll need access to a computer (& printer if possible) on-site.

We are Disney Vacation Club members but WON'T be taking our lap-tops

Any idea where we can get a lap-top or PC and internet access?
Any idea of costs involved?
We need it to check in for return UK Domestic flight and to print off boarding passes.

The Orlando flight is already taken care of.Its the outbound UK to Ireland connection thats the problem

It may be worth checking with Guest Services at the hotel. I have seen in the past where hotel guests have had this done by the hotel.
You may not need to print the boarding passes, these will be allocated at the airport.

Deffo check with Guest Services, I have heard of them printing boarding passes in the past so I know they do it but think as it's a favour you're basically at the mercy of the person behind the desk.

They do have a number of Business Centers onsite but they're expensive :sad2:

We have never printed boarding passes for return as we do it by laptop and no printer. Checked in online but collected passes at Virgin bag drop at MCO.

Same here. But during the days before I travelled with a laptop, I always found Guest Services to be very helpful.

If you go over to the swan or dolphin they have computers in their lobby that can only be used for flight checking ins. We used them a couple of years ago for a virgin check in and it worked a dream. It is also free!!

That sounds great.WIll try there then.

The year before last we didn't have a 'through' ticket and tried at POFrench-guest services/concierge but they told us as we weren't on a domestic flight, they couldn't help us!
A very kind man at the virgin megastore in DTD (where we purchsed a lot of things that day and went to cafe for lunch too) took pity (i was in a panic trying to find a computer somewhere) and assisted me on his PC.

We had a tight deadline to disembark and then re-checkin again. It made all the difference having had the check-in bit done. We printed passes at Airport.

We're in a similar position again this year.
I have heard of people able to get check-in done BUT most are checking in for USA to UK or wherever and maybe thats why they were permitted to do it? I don't know?
This is for the UK to Ireland 'leg' .
I'll check with guest services at AK Villas and see what they say.

thanks all

They have a thing called a Print Pod at the Contemporary Resort. Hubby and I used this a few weeks ago to check in for our Virgin flight home, its free to use for check in and you can print your boarding passes, very handy :)

That sounds like a good idea and really 'handy' but our virgin flight check-in is OK as we do DTD early check-in.
Its the connecting UK to Dublin flight i need to check-in for. WIll it allow me to do that too?

The hotels with a business centre will let you usually use their Internet for free, ( I don't think AK has one) but as others have said guest services will usually help you out.
Last year we checked-in at Disney quest with the free Internet upstairs (we usually use this several times if we don't take our laptop, if you've got a 14 day ticket you have DQ included)

Does Disney Quest actually have computers for you to use or do you have to take your own laptop and use Wifi?

Oops just re-read your message and realised you said you use it when you don't take your laptap, so I guess the answer to my question is "they have computers there for us to use the internet" :flower3:

Same boat last year - staying at OKW and they would happily have done it for us - only problem was that we were at DHS at vital time, but Guest Services did it for us no problem - we even got the bulk head seats!!

when we have had e-tickets,when we have arrived at airport to check in we've been given all our boarding cards there
Do`s the airline your using have booths that you can use in the airport?

They have quite a few, but they are a little hidden.

In December because we were trying to pack everything into our last night I asked at guest services at MK if there was somewhere at the Contemporary I could hop on the monorail for and get on a computer and come back. They said yeah, but what for so I explained printing boarding passes for BA (24 hour window opened about an hour before spectro...) They said as long as I had all my details I could do it there and they took me through to an office behind the counter with a computer and printer. Not sure if this was a case of asking the right person at the right time, but if you are pressed for time its worth asking!

We used the internet last year at AKL and didnt have a problem - in the back office they also have a printer and allow you around 10 minutes to do this.:thumbsup2

we always go to the Hilton hotel near the entrance of DTD. they have a computer centre where you pay as you go (its very reasonable) and you can pay to print aswell. we check email, print tickets and have even been known to book tickets too!
try that out......
PS they have a nice starbucks for coffee afterwards too!!
