After seeing all the pictures of the delicious looking lobster rolls at WDW, I am looking forward to trying one since they are not very common here on the west coast. I have noticed that many places have them but I am looking for the best one. I am eyeing the one at Boardwalk Bakery, it looks really good, but I would appreciate some recommendations. Thanks!

NOT at Hurricane Hannah's! That thing is a disgrace. :sad2:

As a New Englander born and raised and never leaving, I've had my share of great lobster rolls. I usually don't eat them outside of New England because it's typically a sad experience. However, the one at BW Bakery looks great! I didn't try it because I was too full, but I will. :goodvibes

I am originally from New England and can vouch for the one at the Captain's Grille. Not quite up to "right off a dock in Maine" standards, but close enough. Definitely the best on property.

It's always funny to hear the "natives'" perspectives on regional dishes.

New Englander's seem to agree that the lobster roll at CG is passable. The Carolinians get split on whether there is any good bbq at all at WDW, mostly settling on Flametree as agreeable.

As a Chesapeake bay native, I still dont think any of the crabcakes at WDW are very good, but I keep trying all of them and I actually tried to give the waiter at Fulton's some tips (in a joking, nice way of course)

I can't say where the best one is but I can tell you to avoid the one at Columbia Harbor House. It was mostly filler, mayo (or whatever that dressing is) and bread. Very little lobster.

And enough onions to let you power the Liberty Belle all by yourself! :rolleyes1

There should never be onions in a lobster roll. Never! Nor green peppers, which the CHH "lobster roll" also has. A lobster roll should be lobster and bun. Some like a little mayo. Some like a little butter. Either is fine, but (initiate Mommie Dearest voice...) no chopped veggies...ever! (MD voice off.) What the CHH serves is a lobster salad roll, not a lobster roll. Not the same at all.

I'm from Maine and I've never had a good lobster roll in WDW (I have never tried the one at Boardwalk Bakery though). In my opinion all the ones I've tried at Epcot's food and wine festival are awful as is the one at Columbia Harbor House in the Magic Kingdom. I guess it could be that they are just not like what I'm used to getting here.

WHOA!!!! Holy Mis-Information, Batman!! That is NOT a picture from Captain's Grille. The CG roll is mayo-based. Do a "right-click" on the picture and you will see that it was lifted from here: http://www.anthonyspier.com/

I'm from the land of the "warm lobster roll". http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-rosengarten/the-other-lobster-roll-co_b_1707082.html
WDW has nothing that satisfies my craving. (Though I have had some killer lobster mac-n-cheese at Shula's).
