On top of the cabinet that is on top of the refrigerator - never would have guessed a cat could get up there, but ours does. Behind the water heater, furnace, or laundry machines. I read a news story once about a cat that got stuck IN a washing machine - it had squeezed itself in between the barrel that the clothes go into, and the outer part of the machine
