Where did you honeymoon?

Well the big wedding day is getting closer and we are starting to think about the honeymoon

Where did everyone honeymoon? Did you like it? How long did you stay? What time of year?

I want details.... but not all the details please

Married in October - but I was teaching - so we couldn't take our honeymoon until spring break (March).

Stayed at the then "Dixie Landings" - now Port Orleans Riverside

6 nights - 5 days I think

We had a wonderful time and it started a TREND -- see my signature.

Mid-June, St. John, USVI. We loved it! It was tropical, but quiet and relaxing. We rented a jeep and explored and snorkled at almost every beach on the island. It was a little on the warm side, and there were lots of mosquitos at night. St. Thomas was only a ferry trip away, so if you wanted the night life or the shopping, it was close by.

23 years ago, back in the Stone Ages , we bought an inexpensive package deal to Hawaii. Spent a week there, 5 nights on Oahu, 2 on Maui. We rented a car and drove around both Islands. Had a great time seeing the sights and walking along the beaches.

If I had to do it over again, I would spend less on the wedding and more on the honeymoon.

Now that I'm older and (hopefully) a little wiser, there are lots of different places I would consider for a honeymoon. . . Riviera Maya, Bermuda, a cruise, someplace in Europe, etc. Someplace we both always wanted to go to and spend time together. After all, that's why you get married in the first place!!

We got married on Oct. 1. We went to Aruba (it's out of the hurricane belt ). We stayed for 6 nights. Had a great time.

We were married on the Disney Cruise so we just considered that our honeymoon as well. I would recomend to anyone to plan a special trip alone together. This year will be our fifth anniversary and we have never gone on an trip longer than a weekend alone! I loved the cruise though, that was worth it!

Married 25 years ago in October. Honeymooned at Disney World - actually the Magic Kingdom was the only park then - Epcot was opening the following year.

Never had a honeymoon. A land deal came up and we used all our money to buy the land that our house is sitting on right now. Although I think that was an excellant decision, I think it was a HUGE mistake not to go on a honeymoon at all. I regret it and try to make it up to my wife by taking her on at least one major vacation every year. BTW, it was 5 years before we ever took one together after we got married.

10 years ago - tooled around Europe for 21 days... It was FANTASTIC I'd do it all over again!

We got married in September here in Scotland (really wanted a Disney wedding, but only 7 people would travel)! We went to WDW and stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort Jamaica Building for 17 nights. When we arrived the person at Guest Services gave us Just Married badges, so every cast member in parks, resorts etc. offered thier congratulations.


It was really nice, had a great time!

Ours was decided two days before our wedding back in Sept. 1999. We decided to drive to Niagra Falls and stay on the Canadian side. We loved it but all I had with me was shorts and no pants! My aunt moved mine out of the way on my wedding day so I could have my pictures taken Didn't realize it until we were already there. Came back with bronchitis b/c of it.

Took us 10 1/2 hours to drive there, but we loved it and would like to go back again someday.

We did Vegas for 4 nights. Neither of us had been before and we had a blast! We went the first part of August and the heat wasn't bad, either.

First honeymoon - Hawaii
Second honeymoon - Cruise to Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Key West

We got married on a Sat - then on Tuesday, flew down to Lauderdale for 4 nights, drove down to Miami for a week long cruise. We wanted to cruise, but 7 night cruises only left on Sat and Sun and there was NO WAY IN THE WORLD we would make a Sunday cruise.

We waited 11 months to take our "real" honeymoon, and of course it was Disney World. Went over Labor Day week 1999. It was VERY hot but not crowded. Stayed at POFQ. Just barely made it out before the airport closed because of Hurricane Floyd!

We got married in May and went on the Big Red Boat. My cousin recommended it. Had a great time and will go back for our 20th on the DCL in March (had to go in March because of school for the kids)

14 years ago, in December, we took a week off from work and stayed in our own home. Very relaxing and we got to spend loads of time together, which we figured, was the point.

It's still how we spend most vacations.

Married in June of '05, and honeymooned in Cancun at an all inclusive, the Moon Palace resort. Included with our package, were tours to local Mayan ruins.

Our honeymoon was spent in St Lucia for two weeks, at the end of November. It was fantastic, it was an all inclusive hilton hotel but the rooms were private villas, set up a mountain with private plunge pools.
