Where did you eat for Thanksgiving?

We are still debating where to have our turkey day dinner next year and am curious as to where everyone ate this year. We are thinking either Thanksgiving at the Fort or 1900 Park Fare. TIA!

This year we ate at The Peabody on I Drive and it was just fabulous. I would recommend it heartily.

We ate at Kona Cafe at the Poly. Spur of the moment decision...just walked up and were seated within a few minutes...three of us..they had turkey and all the trimmings for 20.00..and yes they let us use our DDE card too! :earboy2:

We ate at Boma's in the AKL. We had ADR's for it, made in September. They had a full traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner spread on their buffet as well as many of their signature items. Very, very good. One of the best meals we had that week.

We had the Thanksgiving buffet at Trail's End this year. Perhaps my remarks are tempered by the fact that we had a late (7:30 p.m.) ADR, but the food was bland and got cold very quickly. The seafood bisque was better than expected. I ate my fill of the salad bar and the peel and eat shrimp; but the ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, all the standard fare, even the pies, just were bland and didn't have much taste. The turkey is turkey loaf, same with the ham. They both tasted the same. Mashed potatoes were good, but it is hard to mess those up.

I wish they had had the fried chicken available, but they didn't

For the second year in a row - Cosmic Ray's, believe it or not! :rotfl2:

My DH had the special Thanksgiving meal there last year, and was so impressed that he told me that's where he wanted to go again, so for $9.79pp we had turkey (white meat, three large slices), dressing, mashed potatoes (red bliss potatoes) and gravy, green beans and a cheddar biscuit. What a deal! :rotfl:

This year I also noticed they had open faced turkey sandwiches with mashed potatoes on the menu, not sure if they had that last year. They also had large sizes of all sides if you wanted to serve more people at once - I did see one large family group do that and just serve "family style" at the table instead of buying individual meals.

This special Thanksgiving meal was offered at the far left order windows, and had a large sign with "SPECIAL THANKSGIVING MENU" and all the prices listed- I don't know if the other windows had any mention because a lot of people asked us "Where did you find THAT? Yum!" when they saw us going to our table.

This worked out great because I still had to go home and cook a regular huge spread for family the next day - but I think my husband still liked Cosmic Ray's better than my cooking! Men! :confused3 :rotfl:

We ate at Tony's Town Square for Thanksgiving and we wouldn't go back. Our waiter wasn't very good, and the food didn't have much taste. We noticed that he even added 2 extra desserts on our ticket even though my DD and DS didn't order any just so he could get the extra tip!

It was fantastic!! We had a 1:30 ADR. It was me, DH and DD's 14, 12 and 5. I was the only one to get the traditional meal and it was very good. I think it was $24. The rest of them ordered off the regular menu. I ordered the famed grapefruit cake but did not like it. :guilty: I really didn't think that $140 for thanksgiving was bad. I would have spent more than that at the grocery and hey, I was in WDW.

Fantastic service, too. Would highly recommend and return.
