Where did you /are you going to stay for your honeymoon?

We are staying 12 nights, 6 at GF Concierge and 6 at The Boardwalk Concierge. The first half will be GF because of the ease to the chapel and reception for our wedding events. The second half at The Boardwalk because we just love their concierge staff and the resort is sooo wonderful.

we stayed at Yacht Club Concierge for the wedding and a couple of nights after, then we headed off on the Disney Magic for the Eastern 7-night cruise then came back to WDW, knowing all of our wedding guests would have now left, and stayed at Beach Club Villas for 6 nights - it was absolutle bliss.

Then we rekindled the magic for our 1st Anniversary, this time doing the Disney Cruise 7-night Western and then 7 nights at Wilderness Lodge Villas, more wedded bliss :)

And honestly I don't think anyone has to justify "if and why" they stayed at a "value" resort!! It's really what you make a honeymoon not necessary where you stay. I've visited All Star Movies and Music but my absolute favourite value resort is Pop Century - it's so much fun :Pinkbounc

We are going on the 7-night Eastern Cruise. We are both very excited. It's my first cruise, but it will be my FDH's 3rd. He's not been on the Disney one yet though. Also, we are very excited to see some of the old pirate stuff on the eastern carribean one! It's not for a year yet, but I like getting a head start.

I'm planning on the following for our honeymoon this October...

2 Nights GF Honeymoon Concierge
2 Nights AKL Concierge
4 Nights Boardwalk Villas 1 BDR Suite
2 Nights Vero Beach

Well that's the plan anyway. I'm going to have to rent my points in order to book the rooms at GF and AKL. I have the GF booked and am still debating between AKL and Polynesian for the 2nd two nights.

For VR in June, Polynesian Concierge before VR events for a family vacation. Then, GF for VR and a couple of days after for "second honeymoon".

When we got married in 1995, we honeymooned at Wilderness Lodge at Christmas time. It was absolutely lovely.

We will be spending 4 nights at the Grand Floridian, starting the day we get married, so we can be close to the Magic Kingdom, and just because, well, it is so gorgeous. Also, the Grand Floridian reminds me (and I believe was partly designed after) tha amazing Hotel Del Coronado (located on Coronado Island in San Diego). Afyer this, we will spend 3 nights at the Yacht Club, so we can enjoy the awesome pool there and because of the great location to Epcot, MGM, and the Boardwalk and all those great restaurants!   :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

We are taking our honeymoon in late August and will be spending 2 nights at HRH for Universal/IOA/SW.

We will then be starting our official honeymoon at the Grand Floridian (Lagoon View/ Hopefully Castle View pixiedust: for 10nights/11 days on the platinum package. We may add another night or two room only (finances permitting).

Needless to say, I CANNOT WAIT! This will be a very luxurious trip for us, and rightly so. We will also be paying for everything ourselves, so hopefully we can make it work :goodvibes

For our honeymoon, over four years ago we stayed at All Stars Movies the two days before our wedding and then moved to WL. We payed $50 a night for the first 4 nights to upgrade to the Honeymoon Suite/Concierge (those where the days!) and then spent 3 more nights in a standard room.

We will spend 7 nights in a honeymoon suite at the WL. :Pinkbounc Neither of us has been to DW before so we figured we would splurge for the honeymoon. We decided on the WL because we love the Grand Californian when we can get good AP rates and the WL looks to be themed pretty close to the Californian.

Leash,
WL is pretty similar to Grand Californian, both are themed to the arts and crafts movement. WL is much more rustic though, but I think if you really enjoy GC you will also enjoy WL.

 We'll spend 7 days at our favorite the "Poly":woohoo: & then 3 days at the Hard Rock in Universal.

We'll be staying at the Poly for 9 nights, concierge!!!(two nights before the wedding and 7 after!) We are getting married at Sunset Pointe and I've always wanted to stay there so it makes perfect sense!! Being so close to the MK is great also :cool1: !!

We will be staying at the All-star Movies for 4 nights before the wedding. We will then move to AKL Savannah view for 5 nights!!!! I am so excited...=) :teeth:

We'll be staying at POFQ from Sept 29 - Oct 7! We're actually going on our honeymoon about 3 weeks after we get married.

Disney was our first vacation together and POFQ was the first resort we stayed in. It's our "magical" resort!

WDW2007 - Did you move up your wedding??!!?? You lucky girl!! Congrats!!! :cheer2:

Princesslisa, we decided to move up our date to Memorial Day!!!! =) Raul is applying to a training program that would leave him with no scheduled vacation for 2.5 years. When we thought about postponing for another 3 years, we just couldn't take it. So...we decided to take the plunge and just go for it. I am really excited!!!!

We have decided to stay 5 nights before the wedding at The Wilderness Lodge, the 4 nights @ Grand Floridian honeymoon suite. Then off a week to either the carribean or mexico for the honeymoon! :goodvibes

We're spending 5 nights at the Dolphin. I got a great rate and DH loves heavenly beds.

I'm so excited to finally be planning our honeymoon :cool1:
