I booked through Orbitz, cancelled it, then made a new one. It showed both shopping trips receiving 1% back, then instead of deleting one, both were deleted.:confused3

I booked my Disney Resort though Orbitz through ebates back in March and received a notice back then that I'll get $12.34 in ebates $$$. Today I got an email that my reservation was cancelled from Orbitz and ebates reversed the $12.34. Scared the life out of me because there is no way I cancelled my reservation. My reservation shows in Orbitz and still in MDE. Has anyone else have this happen? I emailed customer service and I know $12.34 isn't a lot of money but still it could buy me a lunch one day at Disney!

I see this morning that I also got an email saying that ebates cancelled my rebate. I sent them an email asking why. It scared me too! I went into Orbitz and disneyworld.com to make sure they were both still there.

The response I got from Ebates was that I won't get credit from Travel sites i.e. Orbitz until after my trip! That is crazy and does not make sense! They already have my money and I was already credited the ebates money. So why was it taken away? Anyone get a better answer from Ebates on why they reversed it?

They told me it was because I used a discount code that wasn't listed on the ebates website. They did put the refund back on my account, but warned me of using discounts that aren't listed on their website in the future. Strange that people are getting different reasons.

I usually love Ebates but when I used them to book my trip through Orbitz (3% cash back on hotel reservations and 6% on tickets) proved to be a pain.
I had to email them to get my cash back because it never showed up, then they told me I would only get 1% back because I booked them as a package (tickets AND hotel res at same time).
I don't think this is stated very clearly on their site because when I booked it said nothing of it being a "package".
So, I spent over $1,000 and got $10 back. :(
Good luck to you all.
