..anyone know? He had such good insight and did such fun trip reports..hope all is OK.

I believe he avoids WDW in the hot summer months. It is hard having to wait for his next trip report. I love the way he captures his view of WDW in his pictures.

I'm sure he's working hard so he can buy a GFV contract ;)

I think he's already pre-negotiated to be the first purchaser there. More likely, he's probably off in some camera forums with another new toy :goodvibes

MIKE! We need a Disney revisit! have any pics that didn't make the cut from your last number of trips?

He was suppose to visit California this spring and stay at the VGC, wasn't he?

I was just wondering the some thing, hope all is well.

Yes..that's what I thought then realized he'd never given a TR of his latest VGC visit.

Not sure who you are all talking about, but You are making me miss him too!

That's right - he was flying out of NC the day I was flying in for my son's Graduation. I kind of wished we could bump into one another at the airport, but I have no clue what he looks like ... would have been hard to recognize him

I really hope he's just busy &/or has gotten bored with us (what! :lmao:) & no issues have come up.

He is an administrator on another DVC owners website. The last post I can find for him on that board is May 9, about 5 days before his scheduled VGC trip.

Since we're snooping... His last post here was on May 31st - of course, on a Camera thread

Another DVC forum? (Gasp! Oh, the horrors!)

(Sorry, didn't mean to post so much on one thread! I'm on overdrive here - time to shut off the computer ;))

Thanks to David for pointing out this thread to me!

Yes, I’ve been rather inactive (in terms of posting) on all the Disney forums I used to visit religiously every single day (and usually multiple times each day).

My health was up and down for a while, but it seems to have stabilized.

I did spend a lovely 7 nights in a 1-BR villa at Disney’s Grand Californian in May. I took all my Nikon camera gear, my MacBook Pro, and my iPad, but I ended up not even taking my camera out of the bag. I went off the grid and just enjoyed being at Disneyland. I did snap a few shots with my iPhone.

It wasn’t crowded at all, and with a 7-night stay, I had plenty of time to enjoy my stay. I really enjoyed the World of Color. It was fantastic! And with the special reserved seating, I ate my box of goodies and drank hot chocolate while watching Fantasmic from a nice chair.

Since I rented a car, I spent some time away from the parks eating diner several times with my parents, who live in the home I grew up in near Disneyland. I ate mostly counter service in the parks (no Napa Rose this trip). I really enjoyed the new menu at The Hungry Bear restaurant, especially the fried green tomatoes sandwich.

I’m looking forward to the Beach Club Villas in October, followed by BLT in December and then again in March. I’ll be bringing my camera again, and hopefully will be doing a live trip report.

And yes, my wife has already told me we’re buying points at any future DVC resort at the Grand Floridian. I guess the only question is how many points.

Thanks for thinking of me! I’m (mostly) fine and just busy with work. I do stop by from time to time and scan the posts, mostly to keep up with the latest news, rumors and DVC events. I’ve also been reading a lot of e-books on my iPad – quite relaxing.

I’ve read quite a few trip reports as well, as I enjoy everyone’s photos while I wait for summer to be over so I can enjoy Disney without the heat and humidity.

:goodvibes

You asked for DVC_Mike and less then 12 hours later, he appears...

Now, can I wish to find a huge sack of money...

Thanks for posting, Mike. We have become spoiled by those photographic wonders you produce as trip reports. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed a Disneyland trip without the time consuming task of taking and posting photos. And I'm especially glad that your health is stable. I think we were all worried because we knew you had a health scare not long ago. Good to hear from you! :goodvibes

Thanks for checking in with us. I too wondered if all was well.

Mike - glad you are feeling better - sorry you were sick, hope that trip home helped mend you - you must've been very sick not to even take your camera out of the case!!

Ipad - oooh - Have you downloaded

Good to see you Mike, thanks for the update! Take care and stay healthy--Dis-ers and Mickey are counting on you.:earsboy:

Good to hear from you Mike. As much as I enjoy your wonderful photos, I'm glad you opted to "go off the grid" and just relax and enjoy yourself on your trip to Disneyland. I'm glad your health issues have stabilized and hope your health continues to improve.

Thank you so much for the update and for stopping by. Hope all continues to improve :goodvibes. When I was first looking into DVC it was you who spelled things out so well that I sorta 'got it'. Thanks! and hope you can stop by now and then :)

I'm glad I saw this thread. I have to admit to being one of the people wondering where DVC Mike had gone. Even did a couple of searches for his name and was bothered by the lack of postings.

I'd been watching for your trip report from Disneyland. We were blessed to go there last year and stay in the brand new Grand Californian villas and I was interested in your perspective, especially being a frequent WDW visitor. BUT I don't blame you for just "being" there. Those often end up being the best times of all!

Glad to hear you're feeling better and look forward to more reports this Fall.:goodvibes

Glad to see you are okay - I was wondering where you have been also.
