My DS turned 16 last week, where did the years go?!?!
He also finished his Higher prelims last week [A Level] and tomorrow we are going to an open day at University
Because of when his birthday falls he is one of the youngest in his year but hes very grown up for his age and he has his sights firmly set on what he wants to do career wise.
So tomorrow we are heading to Glasgow to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama so he can do the workshops on offer on their BA Technical and Production Arts course.
Unfortunately DH is working so he cant come but DS and I will head on up there and see whats going on.
When DS is in his workshops Ill head out to the Disney store for some retail therapy
grab myself a nice coffee somewhere and watch the world go by for a while !!
DS went himself last November to check the Uni out and see if he thought the course/uni would be for him so to speak and he was so excited about the prospect of getting in there so Im looking forward to listening to all the info on the place, chatting to other parents and staff of the Uni
.
He intends staying at school until his last year, hes doing 5 Highers this year and wants to hopefully do Advanced Highers next year so he would apply to get in September 2011 but wants as much info as he can get as early as poss as there is an audition as well as the normal application forms. I'll be looking for muchos pixie dust then from my DIS friends
He is SO into theatre/drama and has been for about 11 years now, however for the past three or four years he is really focused to the technical side of it all and the course strand he is hoping to follow is production which breaks down into Management for performance, Stage Technology, Production Lighting and Sound.
I really hope all his dreams come true as he is such a hard worker and a pleasant, dedicated and helpful young man and we are so proud of everything he has achieved up to now but OMG where have all the years gone.............
