We are leaving in a few days for WDW and my DS is excited to go, but sad to leave our pets behind. When he was upset that one of my nephews wasn't going, I told him we could bring him back a shirt. So, now he wants to buy a special bone or something for our dog and we also have other pets. Is there a place I can take him to get small, inexpensive pet souvenirs? Nothing fancy, he is 5 years old and a little sad....thank you for any ideas.

Disney Tails @ DTD or the Firehouse in MK. Both carry similar items but Tails carries a larger selection.

There is a store in DTD that has all animal things and I *think* Mouse Gears in Epcot as well as World of Disney in DTD have stuff

They have plenty for your babies! I bought so many things for my cat and dog while we were away.

Disney Tales in Downtown Disney has alot of specialty items and all the stores have a little section just for the animals. You will not have a problem finding something for them.

There are some very cute pet gifts at Mouse Gear in Epcot. I've seen some at one of the gift shops in the Grand Floridian, also.
Cute idea! :sunny:

Most all of the gift shops at any location including the resorts have a pet selection. Downtown Disney has a large selection.

Thank you :flower: I am so glad we will have many choices...we are going to DTD on our second night so I may take him to Disney Tails then. Thanks again, you all are so wonderful. :sunny:

I have a miniature schih tzu that is my pampered baby. I've bought her something every trip. At the firestation in MK she got a pair of sqeaky Mickey pants and glove. At Pet Tails in DTD she got a cute Princess hat, Princess bandana, Princess leash, and a pair of red Minnie bow clips for her hair. At the DTD store she got a tin of treats and a Winnie the Pooh with honey pot sqeaky toy. For this next trip I know she's getting a bandana that says 'My humans went to WDW and all I got was this bandana' and she's also getting the pink Princess collar that I forgot to get to go with her leash. Anyway my point is that your son will have no problem picking out souvineers for his pets. Have fun!

I have two small long-haired chihuahuas and here's what I brought back from my last trip:

One is basically a "princess" so I bought her a darling purple satin pillow that has "Great things come in small packages" and a picture of Tink embroidered on it from Tinkerbell's Treasures (MK),

And the other fur child is very tiny (4 pounds) so I found a darling little key chain in Adventureland (MK) that was a stuffed pink elephant. I took the metal part off (that was held on by a small string) so she now has a little stuffed animal, that she now has adopted as her favorite! :flower:

I absolutely love the pink Princess dog collar I bought for my baby when we were there in August. I loved in so much that when my DH went in October for a convention I told him to buy me another one so I had a backup. Well guess what? Nobody had them and they were sold out!!!!! Something told me to buy two of them when I was there but I wanted to see how it looked on her first. My DH went everywhere for it and nobody had it. I hope they decide to bring it back because I would love to have another one.

Hi there!

We just got back yesterday and brought back a T-Shirt for our 9 lb. Shih Tzu, Cookie. The T-Shirt says Walt Disney World on it and has a Mickey on it, they have all kinds of sizes. We got ours for $7 at the gift shop to the right of City Hall on Main Street in MK. We also saw a larger selection of doggie stuff at Disney Tails in DTD. The prices are more reasonable on the shirts and bones as well as the mouse hand and pants squeeky toys than the collars... I found some of them that were about $30.

Enjoy!

Most of the WDW gift shops (including the resort gift shops) have pet souvenirs! They have many cute, inexpensive items such as cat and dog placemats (for putting under their food dishes)--only 2.99, if I remember correctly.

How sweet that your DS wants to buy gifts for the cousin and pets who will not be going. :sunny: :paw: :dog:

We noticed pet souvenirs in just about all the big shops. Both for dogs and cats.
