I have AAA and am still unsure of where it can be used at universal/IOA. Can it be used at counter service restaurants? How about in the gift shops? Want to be sure to get the most benefit out of it as possible. Anyplace else I havn't thought of.
Thanks :flower:
Wooohooo only 43 days to go

Most anywhere except carts. Best policy is to always ask; keep the card where you'll always see it when getting out money to remind yourself.

Cheers.

If the carts have a register, then they can give you the discount, but they must take down your number every time.

I think Universal gives AAA members a 10% discount at those places that accept it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

i was at universal for 4 days last week.
i used the AAA for discounts everywhere.

only one place, circus mcgurkus asked to see the card and write down the number.

i would say 1 out of every 7 times i used the aaa discount did the employee ask to see the actual card.

i would order food or buy something in the stores and before it was rang up, i would say i have AAA. most of the times the person never asked to see the card.

i totally and completely love universal..........planning next fall's trip already.
did 14 days in orlando and it wasn't enough. :wave2:

We were there a couple of weeks ago and got our AAA discount basically everywhere with the exception of Tchop Chop & Emerils. You don't get the discount at either of those.

Discount information from Mousesavers.com:

AAA/CAA Discounts

Members of the American Automobile Association (AAA) or the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) save 10% at select dining and merchandise locations in the two Universal theme parks (savings not available at food or merchandise carts and does not apply to tobacco, candy, film, collectibles and sundry items).

AAA members also save 10% at CityWalk (discount on food, non-alcoholic drinks and merchandise at all Universal Studios CityWalk Orlando restaurants with the exception of Emeril's Restaurant). Applies to member and immediate family (up to 6 people). Show your membership card to get the discount.

thanks to everyone who replied. I will definately bring my AAA card and show it anytime I but something. Will be nice to actually get some benefit out of having it.

The system is a whole process that must be done, loading the new system in to every register and there is only about 5 people who do it so it will take some time.

I am going on 11/15...
I did not even think about AAA....
Now I will save some more...
Thank you

and the discount pretty much everywhere except on children's books in the Suess area. An extra 10% savings was nice!
