Where can you buy disney dollars?

I have a $5 coupon off $30 purchase at the disney store from one of the disney calendars. Could I use this for disney dollars or park passes? Or, could I use DC discount on the dollars? Dare I ask...could I use both the DC and coupon on passes or dollars?

We use Disney Dollars for our kids all the time. You can not use the Disney Club card for discounts on Disney Dollar purchases. They can only be purchased at face value. Whenever I have used my discount in the past it has not been applied to Disney dollars, not too sure about the coupon though. Most times the coupons state that they are for mechandise only. Hope this helps.

No, you can't use your DC discount when purchasing the Disney Dollars, BUT, I believe that you can use the discount when you purchase something with the Disney Dollars. (However, I believe that there are only a few stores in WDW where you get your DC discount.)

Most coupons state right on them not for use on gcs, disney dollars or park passes. Good luck, though!

If you do purchase DD at the Disney store...be sure to keep your receipt!!!!!If you need to exchange the DD back to cash it can be done but only with the origonal sales receipt. It may be different at a resort tho.At least this is what I was told by the manager at our Disney store yesterday.Happy $pending!!!!!!!

Do you have to pay for Disney Dollars with cash or can I charge them................I would love to get the miles for the amountof DD we are goign to need.............Liz

I have charged Disney Dollars in the past.

I work at a Disney store and yes you can charge them. But keep in mind that they usually limit you to $100 per transaction. Unless you are buying park passes and then they allow that or a bit more (have to check on the amount) PER park pass purchased. And yes you have to now have the receipt for changing back to cash at the store. I'm not sure of the WDW policies for this. So if you wanted say, several hundred... go at different times/days to purchase the $100 per trip. We do this just to make sure we have them in inventory. But they can also order a large amount for guests if that ever arises. Just do that in plenty of time. Oh, and Disney dollars, gift certficates and park passes are never discounted with the exception of the passes with Disney Club. I believe that works out to about a 5% savings per pass.
