Someone said they aren't complete yet? Is that inaccurate?
The Boulder Ridge refurb has been completed.

Can you speak to the fact that some villa units were not able to get a Murphy bed? Do you know how many one bedrooms fall into that category? And if so, would they definitely have new sofa beds if not a Murphy bed?The Boulder Ridge refurb has been completed.
Those rooms are completed, as @dansdad said. Due to the architecture of the buildings the ceiling is uneven in some of the top floor rooms. It's impossible to put a Murphy bed in those units, but they are indeed refurbished and the sofas are new. I do not know if they convert to sofa beds however. Can you speak to the fact that some villa units were not able to get a Murphy bed? Do you know how many one bedrooms fall into that category? That's confusing to me though. As aren't all the actual sofas in the villas, beds? Those rooms are completed, as @dansdad said. No. The new sofas are on the same wall as the Murphy bed. When you pull down the Murphy bed it basically goes over the sofa. There's no need for a sofa bed in that situation. Now, whether or not the new sofas that were put in the rooms that did not get Murphy beds, are the same as the ones in the rooms that did get Murphy beds, I do not know. If you require a Murphy bed (or a pull out sofa bed in the absence of a Murphy bed), I would suspect it's a relatively easy request to receive, since the number of units potentially without an extra bed is quite small. That's confusing to me though. Thanks for this recent assessment of the situation. I started out planning for Poly but then ended up booking GF. Cancelled that and booked BWI. We were just about to switch to BC when news of that refurb was announced, so still booked at BWI. I might just do Poly IF it's even possible at this point, also thinking about CR garden wing. A lot of people have suggested WL/CC/BR but we've stayed there quite a few times and while it's lovely, the last time I felt very limited, especially late in the evening. Also alot of recommendations for Riviera and Grand Destino but I'm not a fan of towers. I'm starting to think I have to just stop worrying about construction since it's just so prevalent at Disney World, always.I just stayed at the poly over Easter week. Even though we were in one of the buildings close to the construction site (Tuvalu) with a standard view I can honestly say I barely noticed the construction at all. I had to step out on my balcony and lean far to the right to see it. Otherwise my view was of lush greenery and the marina. NO noise, dust or other annoyances. And absolutely no impact to the pool/lobby/beach areas of the resort. If money is no concern, in my experience booking an above-standard view or club level would mean you could spend your entire stay completely unaware of the construction going on there. And since the rooms were recently refurbished I’d guess it is low risk for another unannounced refurbishment schedule. YMMV since different phases of construction may bring different noise, equipment, etc but if you stayed club level there especially, you’d really have to go out of your way to be aware of the new construction going up at the poly.
I’ve had hotel stays (not at Disney) ruined by construction so I totally get it; when they gave me my room assignment in Tuvalu I was not happy and about to ask for a change, but stopped myself and decided to at least check the room out first, and was pleasantly surprised that it was FINE. Way better than expected. And zero impact to the common areas of the resort. IME the only way it would meaningfully impact your stay is if you had the misfortune of getting stuck in one of the rooms directly facing the site, which I think you can avoid by booking an upgraded view or club level. Thanks for this recent assessment of the situation. I guess it's part of the experience!
To be clear, YC is a different resort from BC. They share a (huge) pool, but that’s all. This closure/BC construction wouldn’t affect a stay at YC. I’d be surprised if you could see anything going on without some effort. BC was very overdue for a refurb! As of today my poll has YC/BC in the lead with over 52% of the vote as being the most likely to be construction free this summer.
Beach club just announced room refurbishments and the closure of the club lounge, beginning today.
