Where can we purchase military tickets once we arrive?

Will be our 1st Disneyland trip & mom's husband is retired military so we can get the discount tickets but not sure where we can purchase? Can anyone tell us? Any other military discounts we should know about? Thanks for any and all info.

According to https://disneyland.disney.go.com/offers-discounts/military-park-tickets/, it looks like you need to purchase the military discounted tickets ahead of time from a military base.

You *can* purchase military discounted tickets ahead of time, but at least in past years it has not been required. We purchased the Armed Forces Salute tickets at the regular ticket booths at DLR in 2011.

I just spoke with a live chat person on the DLR website (the chat invite happened to come up when I clicked on the link above me to look at the Salute details. The CM said:

It is preferred that military personnel buy their tickets at their local base, but we can sell the 3-day military "salute" ticket here at the Disneyland Park ticket windows as a courtesy. Other ticket types at military pricing are not available here.

So yes, the Salute tickets can be purchased at the gate. As I understand it, there is no tax on amusement park tickets in CA like there is in FL, so there's no financial benefit to buying the salute tickets on base vs. at the gate in CA.

It depends on which type of military tickets you are wanting to purchase

The "Military Salute Tickets" are available at any ticket window and are the same price as at your ITT. And the above Dis-er is correct, there is no tax on tickets in California so you don't need to purchase them beforehand.

The other military discounted tickets - for more days and other options, can only be purchased at an MWR/ITT facility

This website is absolutely fantastic about covering all the military options. Make sure your "sponsor" is eligible/has the right ID with them, and that you don't need more tickets than the allotment (6 per program year)
