Where can we pick a pearl?

Can you bring your own settings in for earrings or do you have to purchase their settings?

You can for cage type settings.

They won't drill and/or glue pearls to fit into settings that you didn't purchase from them.

It will be open till 9:00. Your issue may be that the wait at that time may exceed the hours of the store. Not sure there is any way to know before hand what you'll encounter
Thanks. We have a dinner reservation at 6:30 so I was thinking we could go there right after dinner. Maybe we should go before dinner.

If this this day is your only chance to go, I would. I wouldn't want to risk it by going an hour before closing. My luck a big group will show up just before 8:00 and they wouldn't be able to take me too
If you can go over to Beach Club or to DS if you can't get it done at Epcot then I wouldn't worry about it, go after dinner and see if you can do it or not.

Ok. Too bad. We have a nice setting for pearls. Don't really care for what they offer there as far as earring settings.

I just changed our dinner reservation to 5:15 and fastpasses around so that will give us more time to pick a pearl.

My DD has done this 3 times and we never waited. Just there last Saturday walked up and we were next, Its $20 for the pearl. I wouldn't buy the setting there, we took it to a jeweler fried and he made us a setting much nicer and better priced than what you will get in that store IMHO

It could be that the overall lack of crowds at Epcot are also showing a lack of crowds for this too

We done this 15+ times. My kids love it, and it is a cheap souvenir.

There are always a ton of people, but, in our experience, they are more spectators than buyers - so while there may be 70 people there, only 15 are actually in line ahead of you. It has always gone quickly-ish for us (maybe a 15 minute wait for us on the busiest of days...

I have done the Pick-A-Pearl every trip since 2009. I have a few pendants and a couple of pairs of earrings.

Last trip, my sister did Pick-A-Pearl, but really for me as a gift for planning our trip. She wanted to get me earrings, but picked a single 6.75 pearl. They pulled out a couple of loose pearls and allowed her to buy a close match for the same price as opening another oyster so we'd have a matched pair for earrings. (I chose silver studs with petals at the stems. Very pretty.)

Anyhow, I'm mentioning this because on previous trips, they told us you had to get "twins" inside your oyster to get a pair for earrings. I did get twin golden pearls in 2010 and had those drilled with plain gold stems for studs.

But in 2016, they were willing to sell you a match if you were looking for a pair of pearls so if it's a pair you want for earrings, it's doable without finding twins.
