Where can we go for a brkfst buffet, w/out all the characters?

My dh and I love Chef Mickeys and have had several fun and enjoyable meals there. However, this coming trip we'd like to try a breakfast buffet. Neither of us are morning people and would rather have a quieter breakfast.

Can you tell me what resorts serve breakfast buffets and what kind of food they serve?

We like Boma for a traditional buffet set up with excellent food.

Yacht Club Galley, Whispering Canyon Cafe, and Spoodles have all-you-can-eat and ala carte options.

Maya Grill at CSR isn't bad. Fresh at the Dolphin and Garden Grove at the Swan are also decent.

The Maya Grill at CSR has one. It was very quiet and relaxed when we went in May. It has your typical eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit etc. and also great breakfast burritos.

Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness has a wonderful breakfast buffet. It is the least expensive on site and the food is delicious. It's aslo just a quick boat ride over from MK.

Thanks so much for the quick replys. We love love love Trails End for lunch so I think we will try it for breakfast. Do you need PS for breakfast? Also, can you catch the boat that early?

Head over to Fresh at the Dolphin...you will love it.

We love Trails End for breakfast...we take the boat over...last trip we caught it around 9 am. We had just missed it when we arrived at the dock, so I'm sure it goes earlier!

I don't think they take PS's, but we've never encountered a wait there, especially early.

The food is so good and the value is unbeatable!!

As for non-buffet breakfasts, the Grand Floridian Cafe and Yacht Club Galley serve wonderful, no-fuss food. The GF Cafe especially is quite beautiful in the morning, w/the sun coming in thru the windows.

Yacht Club Galley serves a great breakfast, either buffet or non-buffet. Last time, I had the buffet (which I always enjoy there) and DH ordered an omelet. Both of us really enjoyed our meal-quiet, sunny. pleasant resturaunt.

Trail's End at Ft.W!

Awesome buffet, including Mickey waffles and a huge donut bar. Very affordable and yummy, cute decor and great servers.

Definatly Bomma's. It's a great buffet and much more laid back and relaxing than some of those character breakfast.

We love breakfast at Spoodle's. We try to go at least once every trip. They have wonderful french toast. They serve great hot chocolate in giant mugs with whip cream on top! Yum!

We tried Fresh at the Dolphin for the first time this Febraury, 2004.

The quality and variety was quite good. It was a buffet with special order egg dishes from anything you can imagine omlets to fried eggs. We tried a variety of fresh squeezed health drinks, fresh orange juice,, pastries such as chocolate croussants, grits, oatmeal, some skillet potato dish which was very flavorful, ham, bacon, fresh fruit, real blue berry pancakes, plain pancakes, (real maple syrup) and a bunch of stuff I can't even remember four months later. It was in the neighborhood of $15.

I thought it was on a scale of 1 to 10 at least a 7. Service was excellent. I plan to go back next trip in 2006.
