????Where can we find summer clothes this time of year???

Two of our kids have grown so much since the summer. DD15... junior sizes should could use a few pairs of shorts... and DD 8 needs some extras too!

We had about 2" of snow last night... and I'm trying to find sandals and shorts... go figures!!!

Leaving in just 2 Weeks!

All the stores here have all the summer clothes out already..right after CHristmas the winter clothes go on clearance and the summer ones come out. Sandels are out in the stores too. If you still can't find them the JC Penneys spring and summer catalog is out you can order from there!

Normally the summer clothes are out right after christmas, but this year it isn't happening here in Michigan. The stores at the mall as well as Mervyns, Kohls etc. are all so full of winter stuff they didn't sell, they aren't putting out the summer stuff yet, until they can clear out some room. I did get the summer catalog from JCPenny's yesterday, and I was very excited.

If you are looking for shoes, I have found a website that I use frequently that has a wide selection and good prices and free shipping, that is where I am ordering my son's sandals from. It is shoebuy.com Hope this helps.

JC Penneys is of no help to my junior... The two malls around here that I have been to... only have some short sleeve items out... no shorts at all!!!

Not the JC Penneys stores, but the CATALOGUE has the spring summer stuff, look online at their web site if you do't get the catalogue in the mail.

Also, Lands End and LL Bean carry summer clothing year round.

Are you going down early? I always found Burdines to have a great selection. Plus, if you’re staying near the port, Ron Jon’s has a pretty good selection.

I had the same exact problem last January!! I thought we were all set with clothes. Don't they just grow like weeds?

For your DD8 you should find a decent selection of shorts/tops at KidsRUs...that is where I found what I needed last year for my DD...and just the other day I noticed they had some stuff out.

As far as your older DD...I agree online shopping may be the way to go....gap.com, jcpenney.com, oldnavy.com.

Good luck and remember you really don't need that much clothing.

I know it may not be the best quality or very cool , but try Target. We were there for a few other things, and they had quite a few things out. Dirt cheap, too. Would do in a pinch and you won't feel so bad if they kids never wear it again. Use it for the cruise and give it to the Goodwill or some other charity. I got bathing suits for $10, Capri pants for $6 and matching shirts kfor the same. Spent $50 for 3 suits and 2 outfits! Good luck and have fun!

I would definitely also suggest oldnavy.com. This past Wednesday I was stressed and decided a cruise would be just the cure! DH, DD, and I are off for a 3 night in two weeks. Of course DH and I have Summer clothes that fit (I hope!), but DD is 2 so most clothes from last Summer don't fit at all. At any rate, I went to Oldnavy.com and bought her a bunch of shorts, tees, and bathing suits for $90 (they're doing free shipping right now, too). Check them out!

If you have any old Lands End or LL Bean catalogues, you can shop by catalogue number. Even if the itesms aren't shown by searching on the web site, the numbers will pull them up. Might even be on sale!

Kohl's last night had some mens and young mens items out. Not very many summer items for girls yet. Did find huge bargains on some shorts and shirts for my 15 year old son. Had shorts normal price of $30 marked down to $2 on clearance plus got another 50% off so got him him 3 different shorts for a buck each. Must be from last summers stock.
Didn't have time to search over the girls rack so heading back out tonight.

I was in Talbotts Kids yesterday in DC and I think they must of had 30 new Bathing Suits. I am thrilled as we leave in 7 days. I am taking my girls back tomorrow!!

If you go to Basics section for Girls, they have Flapdoodles shorts in different colors and styles.

They have great service and are very helpful. I've bought lots of clothing from there over the past 5 years. They may have items for both girls.

Seems like there's a lot out there for DD (8)... but the other one wears a size 0/1 in Juniors ... oh to have those problems. Not easy sizes to come by. We will be trying some other malls this weekend.
