Hey all!

Alas, I have to admit I've not been on the Dis quite as much lately.

BUT - I'm here now and have a very important question....

Heading to the World for a long weekend (5 days) mid November. It will be my boyfriend's first Disney trip ever - I'm so excited!

We'll be staying at my DVC home resort (AKV) and I have our dining lined up. BUT I was hoping that maybe that Saturday night (the weekend before Thanksgiving) we could be out nice and late.

Most of my trips have been during the summer, so I'm not sure how late bars are open in different seasons. Or should I say - if there's people out. I went to Atlantic Dance Hall last summer with friends on a weeknight, and it was DEAD.

If we want to be out super late - I mean as late as the bars are open (my man's European and they stay out LATE over there), what do people suggest? We'd basically want to drink and enjoy good music.

Thanks!

On Disney property that is going to be a tough one if you don't want to go to Atlantic Dance Hall. That is about the only venue that is open late with music. Unless there is a concert going on at the House of Blues at DTD and those concerts start at 8:00 p.m and the restaurant closes up at 1:00 a.m
Your best bet would be to go off property.

If you basically want to drink and enjoy good music, then Jellyrolls is your place. Located on the Boardwalk across from ADH, it's a must for me every trip. Doors open at 7pm, piano players start at 8pm. Last call is 1:30am with doors closing promptly at 2am.

Enjoy! :cool1:

If you're out til 2:00, do you just take a cab back to your resort?

You could always go over to US Citywalk. They have multiple bars/dance locations and movie theater that are open till 2. Just take a cab from your resort to US and back.

Jellyrolls can be so much fun. You may want to give it a try, it's just across from Atlantic Dance on the Boardwalk. Also, perhaps you can check the closing times of ESPN, also on the Boardwalk. Have fun!!!

WDW runs late night busses from the Boardwalk area near Jellyrolls and AC Dance Hall up until closing of the clubs. I don't think the busses start until around 10 PM or later?, and it may also take a while to to get back to your resort depending on how many stops they make.

My recommendation, and what I almost always do, is just take a cab back to my resort.

Here's a blog post over on Orlando Informer, pretty much lists everywhere you could check out. Hope it helps! :-)

Yeah, as others have said .. your options are

Boardwalk area:
Jellyrolls
Atlantic Dance Hall

Jellyrolls is the only real option here .. at least ADH seems to be closed or empty more often than not. At least last year during xmas-NYE week, they were closed for private events several nights and virtually nobody around on the other non NYE nights).

DTD:

House of Blues
Raglan Road
Paradiso 37
Splitsville
Bongos (maybe)

House of Blues is pretty good if there is a show or it's industry night (sunday).

Raglan Road also usually has enough people to get some energy going / Irish high energy music is always good.

I've never spent an evening at Paradiso 37 (I go to Disney solo .. this place seems more "couples going out" or "singles meat market" to me.

Splitsville is fun for couples, has a loud nightclub feel to it (and bowling).

Bongos is more restaurant than anything else, but they have a bar and can have a vibe in their own right.

There are also some really good bars at the various resorts. My favorite is "Il Mulino New York Trattoria" .. otherwise known as the restaurant at ground level at the Swan. At least they seem to have hypercompetent bartenders in terms of creativity and service and generally have a fun vibe to the place.

There are other bars on property .. but I've only ever ventured to the monorail loop, boardwalk area and AKL ones.

There is a nightclub "Rix Lounge" at Coranado Springs .. I haven't been there.

Sunday nights HOB turns into a club and you'll find many hardworking cast members enjoying the night there :) HOB is open until 2am on Sundays with a live DJ. I believe it's $8-$12 to get in?? I don't recall since CMs get in for free

With The dance hall and what not you also have the ESPN Bar I remember making a stumbly visit into there at about 1130 in Feb, but also im sure if you were to walk into the boardwalk and tell a cm, that you had walked around the lagoon im sure there is some transportation that they could call up for you since your would be staying on property.

DTD where the clubs use to be (Paradise Island?) they have outside music with bar and seating.
